I601 waiver insufficient any one else??? in this boat???

My husband is a citizen of mexico.....

he was in the US illegally when i married him i am a US Citizen we applied for a I130 wich was aproved, but when he went for his interview in Ciudad Juarez he was found something ground of inamisabbility? wich we applied for a I601 waiver wich i did not know nothing about and just wrote a simple lttr saying i needed him and so did my children, i filed depression paperwork from a psycologist, bills ect. my waiver was found insufficient, and i have 2 wait is has been 4 months now and i dont know what is going on???? please is anyone going through this same cituation????

Not in your boat, but may be there. My husband, also Mexican and here illegally, just got married last month. We haven't filed anything, but would be interested in knowing the first steps because we too have kids.

Hi, i am the USC, and i am paying for most everything... but i am also the breadwinner in the relationship, and will be after marriage as well, as he has selected a noble but low-paying career, and i am in corporate America. He does contribute: he paid for the translations, his plane ticket for his visit coming in a few weeks, and is looking forward to contributing to the household when we are approved and married in the USA.

I echo the sentiment that if you are feeling this way now with your fiance, you must sort this out, otherwise this behavior will continue to upset you long after you are married....

Stating that you need him is not sufficient. Waivers are very specialized and address specific issues with proof. Find an attorney that knows about waivers.

The OP was advised in the waiver forum on what she needs to do. And you are correct, waivers are very specialized. It is not simply a matter of filling out the I-601 form and paying a fee. It's a bit more complicated than the normal fiance visa process.
