HEY VJ FAMILY! QUICK QUESTION...I AM STARTING TO RESEARCH INTO TICKET PRICES FOR MY FIANCE (INTERVIEW IS IN DECEMBER) AND I REALLY DO NOT KNOW IF YOU ARE FILLING FOR A K1 YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE A ROUND TRIP TICKET. I HAVE HEARD YOU HAVE TO BUY A ROUNDTRIP, BECAUSE THE PERSON IS NOT GUARANTEED A CITIZEN. IS THIS INCORRECT OR TRUE AND WHY?

ALSO, I WANTED TO GET TIPS FROM YOU GUYS ON WHAT SITE TO VISIT THAT WOULD BE BEST TO BUY THE TICKET.

March 14, 2009---Got Driver's License

Mar. 30, 2009: AOS/EAD/AP filled

April 7, 2009 - EAD,AP and AOS NOA notice date

April 10, 2009 - received NOA1 hardcopy for EAD,AP and AOS

April 13, 2009- received Biometrics appt scheduled April 25, 2009

April 14, 2009-Biometrics walk-in done!

April 14, 2009-Called USCIS for AP to be expedited.

April 16, 2009-AP approved YES!!

April 24, 2009-EAD Card Received!!

I bought a one way ticket as well, but I went into the Delta office in Accra. I was in Ghana for his interview. A bit of advice though, don't buy a non-refundable ticket now. It's best to wait until you've got the visa. Things in this process are quite unpredictable.

EAD Card production ordered: 11-12-2008 changed to 11/17/2008 Why? (I hope it doesn't change every week!)

Received AP: 11/17/2008

Received EAD: 11/22/08 (Praise God!!)

AOS RFE: 1/29/2009

AOS Approved: 3/24/2009

Called USCIS 4/1/2009 told no status change and case not yet reviewed from RFE request.

Received green card: 4/3/2009

i can get u an agent here in ga that u can get ticket for around 1000 dollar oneway. i bought my wife ticket here in georgia for 1020$ but it is lufhansa but they dont need transit anymore for nigerian citizen
