Was that interview and approval of NATURALIZATION for citizenship?? Your timeline only shows filing an I-130.

For N400, they don't do much about online case status update.

In most case, it will just sitting there with "Pending" until you have "Cetificate of Naturalization" in your hands.

In very few cases, the case number was removed from USCIS Case Online Query System after initial interview.

But that's all.

My guess is that N400 is processed from USCIS district office for most of their parts, and USCIS DO people don't care about the case update.

my status didn't change either.

moonhunt is probably right - it's the district offices that are in charge with the online status, so once they send the cases to the local offices, they don't update them anymore until the process is done and over with.

We never were able to see our N-400 petition from the start, always came up with "invalid number". The on-line system is quite unpredictable.

Marilyn and Peter

K-1 Timeline in Profile (our story)

Church wedding Sept 18

NOA1's for AOS/EAD received Sept 20 MSC #

Biometrics completed Nov 5 2004

EAD Approval Dec 29 2004

AOS appointment letter received Feb 3 2005

AOS interview scheduled for March 9 2005

AOS interview mostly fine, just need I-693 supplement filled out by civil surgeon

Spend another $40 for I-693 form, sent to local USCIS office registered mail, arrived March 11 2005

AOS finally approved March 25th 2005

Green card arrives about 10 days later

!!Green card has incorrect middle name!! Thanks USCIS

Travel back to Denver, turn in card and I-90 to correct their mistake.

Application accepted, asked for I-551 stamp, they told me "We don't do stamps anymore"

NOA1 for I-90 received from NSC April 18 2005, fee waived

NSC appears to have stoped processing I-90's

Marilyn needs to travel back to the RP, call Senators office for help with green card or I-551 stamp

Travel back to Denver July 1, 2005 and received I-551 stamp in the passport.

I saw my NOA 1 online, but after that it never updated. My interview is Oct 15

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Dont trust status online.. I have trusted the USCIS website on my timeline, and it resulted to spending a lot of money to flew back in the US immediately..

I am naturalized now and my status online still indicate, they just received my packet. How about that?

Ha, here is ours from ten seconds ago:

"Application Type: N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On March 31, 2008, we received this N400 APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.......

And for the I-751:

"Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS

"On March 27, 2007, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS ......."

For the US Department of State for the passport:

"U.S. Passport Application Status

"Your passport application was not found. It is possible your application has not made it into our system yet."

Opened status sites, Control "C" after highlighting the text, then back to this site hitting Control "V".

We are still waiting for our ten year green card according to this and would like to hear something about her biometrics for the N-400. Only time I have received a CRIS notice was to verify that I had to change my password. Didn't keep track of that, but feel it's every 90 days or so.

Also as of ten seconds ago, St. Paul is processing N-400's September 08, 2007 and Nebraska is processing I-751's June 27, 2007.

I will leave the conclusions of these results up to you.

For those not familiar with me, wife has been a USC for two weeks now. We kept her certificate of citizenship just long enough to make some scanned copies of it, DOS has it now, and we are wondering if we will ever see it again. Have to make copies of it, USCIS wants that, two more photos, and 380 bucks to give you a replacement. Would take all but two minutes to type the information, glue on the photo, and stamp it with the seal.
