My fiancee had her Medical Exam and passed, as far as she knows, but she didn't get her X-Ray while others did.

Why do some receive them and others don't?

Thanks,

Dan♥Analyn

Thanks for the information. She remembers seeing a CD, but didn't know her X-Ray was on it.

While waiting, she saw other people getting the big envelopes with the X-Rays in them, but wasn't sure why.

Hi

I had my interview on 22nd October 08 and was handed my x ray and instructed to put it in my suitcase when i go to america. I asked if he meant th carry on bag and he was emphatic ."No i mean your suitcase. This worried me a bit and after reading the comments here i am a little confused. But I will probably use a tube and my carry on bag just in case.I am transiting from my POE (Seattle to Ketchikan AK ) and the flight times are a little tight so i could do without any extra delay

SLEC also processes Canadian, Australian and New Zealand applicants as well. It is only the US Embassy that requires that the X-rays be in CD format. (This was explained to me by the X-ray technicians during my medical.) The people you saw with X-ray films are most likely visa applicants to those countries.

You are also required to submit that together with the results of your medical exam at your POE. But I've known a few people who weren't asked for the X-ray film at their POE. But it's better to be sure. Might as well put on a tube and handcarry it. :)

Hello all, how do we know if we have passed? I had my medical last Monday and am just wondering if all is well and OK?

Can anyone help? IE can I call, or do they write me?

Thanks, Shaun

I cannot say how it goes in the USEM London, but here in the Phils., they (clinic personnel) will tell you upfront if there are any problems. A good indication of you passing the medical is when they request for 2"x2" pictures and telling you that they (clinic) will forward your passport with pics and the results of your medical exam to the USEM Manila. If your interview is within three days, they will just tell you to bring the results yourself to the USEM Manila. I hope this somewhat gives you an idea. Perhaps asking in the UK thread can give you more relevant answers. :)
