Morning everyone!!! Its a beautiful day here weatherwise.

I remember I was just getting up and put tv on when I saw the tower being hit. I was in shock, I had no idea what was goin on. My ex husband was on the phone telling me what happened. I think I sat on my bed all morning watching all this in tears!

I had a drs appointment and was due to start a new job at a call center that day.

in the drs office we heard it come over the local radio station. i had a quick appointment and got home as quick as possible. i turned on the tv and just sat their watching it. went in and picked up Daemian who was 10mths at the time and just held him and cried. i went to orientation at the new job that night, not much work was going on, basically we just did the mandetory paperwork and sat talking about us security, etc.

Who could forget.

Remember.

I hope we all use this day as a day of reflection.

I still have nightmares of what happened. Feelings come back... how I felt the

moment the first aircraft flew into the tower.. It's as real today as it was 7 years ago.

Hope everyone is having a great day! I was late to work today...Zain decided to say happy birthday to Mommy every 2-3 hours since 10pm. UGGHHH!

I'm finally at work...hehe. Maybe I can rest at my desk?

As for 9/11...I wrote some of it on the 9-11 thread Kat posted. It is my birthday and also the year I lost my mother to her battle with cancer. She was my best friend and I miss her so much

That day I was in NYC at a training class with 18 other people I work with that are from all parts of the world. We were on the 10th floor of our building and one of the folks from our Hong Kong office came running in and yelled "Look out the window...one of your Twin Tower thingys was just hit!!" I couldn't believe my eyes...we watched as the 2nd plane hit. I was stunned...thinking there were more planes or bombs coming. I remember that sick feeling coming over my body. We turned on the TV in the conference room and listened to the news...Washington too! We were just sitting there stunned...people crying, some trying to call their homes. I remember watching the buildings from afar out the window and saying is that paper? What's blowing out of the buildings?? As we turned toward the television we realized it was not paper but people jumping to their deaths. I have never been able to erase that image from my mind.

There was no way we were getting out of the city that day so my company provided beds/mattresses/couches...whatever they could find. We all stayed together...ended up contacting a local hospital and shelter and volunteered to assist those in need. Each year we email each other, update each other on our lives and have never forgotten that day we spent together.

Good afternoon everyone.

I definitely remember September 11th too. I was at work when someone came in and said one of the buildings in NYC had been hit. We all thought it was some kind of accident, but then shortly after they told us another building had been hit and then the Pentagon. They made us keep working, but I kept sneaking peaks at the tv and being stunned by what I saw. I called my family to see if they knew what happened. Some of them did, some didn't. The phones worked fine where I was and where my family was, but none of us were from the New York area or that part of the country. I went home for lunch and watched the news some more. After work I came home and sat watching the events replay over and over and I cried as I was horrified by what I was seeing. Security at work was increased dramatically for awhile and someone I knew was hurt in the attacks, but not killed. It was truly a sad day.

Oh!! Best birthday gift that I received yesterday was....

For those of you that know and I have been posting about Nour (my daughter) and her breathing issues....we got her barium and upper GI tests back and they were perfect!! Alhamdulillah!!!

So now I'm believing its truly just allergies and we are going to have to wait it out till she's a bit older to find out.

Good Afternoon All

yes, it is getting chilly

I for one, am hot weather lover..yeah the coolness feels nice but it is only the beginning of what's to come

Julianna...good you be losing due to fasting?? I know I feel at least 5lbs lighter and my clothes getting more loose so I am just looking at this fasting also as a way to get healthier and feel better.

I do remember where I was and what I was doing on 9-11

when I hear or see clips of that day it still brings tears to my eyes

and look where we are now? really no closer to getting the people responsible for it

too far from Chicago to meet up and not able to gather the funds to join ya but i will be there in spirit

i wish I could have the chance to meet you sweet souls someday

still praying for us all to hear good news soon!
