Anyone got any experience of filing I-129F from the UK?

My American other half is currently living with me in London on a student visa, and we are currently filing for a K1 visa. We just found out that we hadn't received an NOA1 (30 + days later) because she used her UK (and not a US) address, apparently USCIS won't mail things to her out of country. I was wondering if anyone else had experience of going down this route in similar cumstances?

Wow, freaky, my American fiancee lives with me in London (although on a work permit) and I also am a 'Paul M'.

We filed for our K1 Visa in April thorugh the CSC. We used her parents address on the I-129F form and her actual address in the UK on the G-325a forms as they use the address on the I-129F as the mailing address. We sent it from London via trackable Fedex (took two days I think) and received our NOA1 at her parents address exactly one week later. We have now receieved our NOA2 and are awaiting documents from the US Embassy in London.

I've heard of examples when they won't post overseas but I'm surprised they haven't sent it back if that's the case. The first thing I guess I would check, is has the cheque been cashed?

I am quite sure you will need to use a US address like paul did. Does she have family or friends in the states who can help you with it? I would also find out first if the check is cashed or if the whole thing is a flop and needs to be started over again with a US mailing address.
