NASHUA, New Hampshire (CNN) — Joe Biden told supporters at a town hall Wednesday afternoon that Barack Obama might have been better off choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

“Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight,” Biden said testily when a voter told Biden he was glad the Delaware senator had been chosen and not Clinton.

“She’s a truly close personal friend and she is qualified to be President of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be Vice President of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me,” he continued.

"I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate.”

After dropping out of the presidential race in January, Biden refrained from endorsing either Obama or Clinton — unlike most of the other Democratic contenders who followed. He told donors at a fundraiser in Boston Wednesday morning that after his withdrawal, Obama asked for his support but Biden declined because of his relationship with Clinton.

Not really but she would have still been a better choice for VP.

May 7,2007-USCIS received I-129f
July 24,2007-NOA1 was received
April 21,2008-K-1 visa denied.
June 3,2008-waiver filed at US Consalate in Panama
The interview went well,they told him it will take another 6 months for them to adjudicate the waiver
March 3,2009-US Consulate claims they have no record of our December visit,nor Manuel's interview
March 27,2009-Manuel returned to the consulate for another interrogation(because they forgot about December's interview),and they were really rude !
April 3,2009-US Counsalate asks for more court documents that no longer exist !
June 1,2009-Manuel and I go back to the US consalate AGAIN to give them a letter from the court in Colon along with documents I already gave them last year.I was surprised to see they had two thick files for his case !


June 15,2010-They called Manuel in to take his fingerprints again,still no decision on his case!
June 22,2010-WAIVER APPROVED at 5:00pm
July 19,2010-VISA IN MANUELITO'S HAND at 3:15pm!
July 25,2010-Manuelito arrives at 9:35pm at Logan Intn'l Airport,Boston,MA
August 5,2010-FINALLY MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 23,2010-Filed for AOS at the International Institute of RI $1400!
December 23,2010-Work authorization received.
January 12,2011-RFE

An interesting statement. I'd like to know how and why she is more qualified than Biden.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

I don't see any difference. Both of them are Iraq hawks. Both would kiss AT&T/Verizon's behind.

If he really wanted to go with a woman, a better pick would have been Maria Cantwell, Barbara Lee, or Barbara Boxer, and for male, Russ Feingold, or ex-Repbulican Lincoln Chafee.

I don't see a difference either, except that Biden as a metric boatload more experience. So, it would be interesting to hear HIS rationale for why H. Clinton would be a better pick.

If he really wanted to go with a woman, a better pick would have been Maria Cantwell, Barbara Lee, or Barbara Boxer, and for male, Russ Feingold, or ex-Repbulican Lincoln Chafee.
No danger of me agreeing with you there (:

Not that I would vote for him if he did, but it would have been an interesting choice for Obama to pick BILL Clinton as VP. That would have the effect of shaking things up, much as Palin has. Of course, Obama's ego would prevent him from ever making this choice (and probably Clinton's ego would keep him from accepting) - but suppose that he did. He would have a VP that is arguably more popular than he is, however, there would be no danger of that VP angling to be elected president. He could truly be an asset/resource rather than a potential competitor. The rest of the world would love him for this pick. And really - what better way to get back at Bush? I think it would have been the supreme choice, from a political point of view - even if I would personally not vote for them.

Lincoln Chafee is not your typical Republican.
Given that Lincoln Chafee is currently listed as an Independent, it would not be reasonable to guess that he is.

Lincoln Chafee is not your typical Republican.

He was actually a moderate Republican, typical Rockefeller Republican which was pushed out because of people being pissed at Republicans, so they irrationally voted out a more logical Senator than the guy that replaced him. And far more reasonable than more than 75% of the Democrats. 100% of the other Republicans in his last session of Congress.

Only one Republican Senator voted against the Iraq War:

Wow. Talk about lack of reading comprehension.

He was talking about HC's ability and said nothing about his own. Not even a hint that he doubted his own ability.
