A typical .223 assault rifle is meant for ranges less than 200 yds. Which is typical for combat, which is why .223 rifles were created (to make rifles lighter, and ammo lighter)
Yeah, see, I don't understand this kind of stuff. I can't even see 200 yards away, much less aim at something and actually hit it.

Just remember, were it not for guns in the hands of private citizens, this country would still be part of the British Empire. Now, I know that many people would say that's a good thing - but then you have to wonder why they are not living in the British Empire.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

kick that up to say a 25-06, or a .220 swift, either one say a 4x16 scope or better, and you can go 600-900 yards or more.

Jersey City is pretty densely populated...

forest ... trees ...

crowds ... people ....

easy to get lost in either place

If you're the type who feels disoriented in an urban environment, technology has a solution for you!

true.... and for those with sigs turned off

"Tyrants from Hitler to Mao to Stalin have sought to disarm their own citizens, for the simple reason that unarmed people are easier to control. Our Founders, having just expelled the British army, knew that the right to bear arms serves as the guardian of every other right. This is the principle so often ignored by both sides in the gun control debate. Only armed citizens can resist tyrannical government."

-Ron Paul, June 26, 2006

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Dangit...why didn't Ron Paul make the ballot?

I'm a strong believer that government should serve the people, and that citizens should not fear their government.

The government should fear their citizens.

Is comparing gun size a way of affirming your masculinity? Who does have the biggest one? What does having more than one say about you?

the ones i was listing above were decreasing in caliber - not that i'd expect you to know that. ;)

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.
