hello

i have been fallowing visajourney.com for couple of months now. it has give me lot of useful tips and guide line for K1 visa process. im just wondering why processing time are different on Visajourney.com for Vermont service center which is may 27, 2008 are being process and different on Uscis.gov which is January 2, 2008 are being process for vermont service center. I am confused on which one to go by. i have already file for my fiance ( I 129F) on june 10, 2008, thats when i receive my 1st NOA, now im wating for my 2nd NOA. its been 3 months since 1st NOA, if i go by visajourney processing time ( may 27 are being process) i should receive NOA2 soon. but if i go by Uscis.gov processing time ( Janury 2 are bing process) i have good 4 or 5 more months to go before i receive NOA2, in this case i was wondering if i should just go to india marry my fiance and file for her there in Inda as my wife. which takes about 6 monts give or take few months, but then she will arrive in USA with a green card. please advise me, which processing time i should go by, and what step should i take next.

The processing times for USCIS are a joke. They just plug in any date they feel like it. The reason for this, is so you can't call them and ask about what is going on with your case unless you are outside of the processing times. The dates on VJ are pretty accurate (unless you're K-3). I would say unless there is some issue with your petition, or VSC decides to stop processing K-1s, like they did K-3s, then you should see something from them in the next 30 days.

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

I totally agree...the processing time on uscis is a joke...I have been following it from Day one of May 29th. I should be getting my NOA2 by end of September. And i think "jpatel" you should not do anything just wait for a month and see...

File I129F on May 29th

Got NOA1 on June 3rd

Expecting NOA2 by OCT 1st week 2008
