This is good news pacific!

Usually they issue visas quickly after home visits. I hope you get the visa soon, Insha-Allah!

Eid Mubarak to you.

Pacific, just keep your belief strong, Allah will give you strength and you will be able to get this visa in a short time.

Indianheart - quick meaning as the patterns from MENA, lets a case was in AP for 6 months, and they get a home visit at the 6th month, they get their visas within 2-4 weeks of that. In contrast, if there is no home visit, they can wait up to 9 months. Again, this is MENA and may not apply to India/Bangladesh/Pakistan. Of coarse there aren't too many patterns and EVERY CASE IS SPECIFIC, but this is what I have seen in my time here in MENA. Home visit means one more thing done, so it gives hope to the case coming to a close.

Insha-Allah you will get this visa! Expect a week or two after passport submission, because they may need to do the last final check and review. After that you should be all set.

Alhamdulillah, for getting this call, congratulations!

I just stopped into your thread to say..........Tammy, I LOVE YOU!

( Dont you fret, your day will be here before you know it because God is good ALL the time ).

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yes, I have heard of people getting their visas the same day but also remember if they need to do a final check and review, you may not get the visa the same day. It may take a day or two. Just prepare yourself because it hurts to be turned back without visa the day you expect it. My husband learned this the hard way. It is always best to give your heart some peace and say, when Allah will give it to me, I will be happy.

Of coarse we are praying for you to get this visa as soon as possible!

Ok...entering Month 13 of AP. How long can people take this without committing suicide. I have come to the point where I don't even know how to think about this anymore. I am numb, my husband is losing his job, I am losing my mind. I guess if they keep this up, they will see the end of me...I just never thought it would take over a year to process a case for two people of the same country with no red flags to speak of...at least it is better to be here than in false hopes of a visa that we were in at month 6.

I really hope that my husband keeps his strength and that I am able to endure this. Frankly, I cannot do anything right anymore and everything is held by a very thin thread...my sanity included.

Stumbles across this thread and just shakes head - I am so sorry Tammy, and also for others that have done this journey the correct way and have been thrown into the black hole.

Hun hang on - i know its easier to say in my shoes to you, but inshallah, you will hear good news soon - stay informed, draw strength from other members here and keep writing to your politicans for any type of answers that will get you thru this -

I am so truly sorry as a good friend of mine got put into AP last week and its like it was a knife thru the heart.

What can I say but this

YOU DONT GIVE UP - we plan, God laughs and yet there is a reason for everything, and its not ours to question why (yes i have read the Koran) but to accept and keep going forward.

DONT GIVE UP please, you are hopefully almost done and then when the call comes to say come bring passport, you can leave this ####### behind and start your life.

just alot of prayers to you and others -

When something goes wrong remember this saying "WHEN MAN PLANS, GOD LAUGHS"

Susie! I loved your posted. Totally inspirational and you are so right. I never think our plans will go as we want it just cause we plan them that way...lord of that was the case then everyone would get exactly everything, good and bad and we'd all be screwed

Thanks for the words! You gave me yet another boost that may hold me in my 13th month.

God bless Susie!
