Can anyone give me an idea on how long until biometrics appointment comes through in Oregon? The USCIS recieved my wife's app on May 24, 2008 and still no appointment. Any insight would be helpful????

If she applied for a work permit (EAD) then the biometrics appointment notice is long overdue. If not, the USCIS will take its good old fashioned time...maybe 4 months or more

I did not apply for EAD and got my biometrics appointment in Seattle within one month of sending in my applications. And just recently applied for EAD, got my appointment notice 2 days after I got the receipt.

Your notice of appointment MAY have been lost in the mail. You might want to consider an Infopass appointment, especially if you did apply for EAD, as you are going on 4 months and the EAD is usually processed within 90 days (but they do require biometrics to do so). You could also call the 1-800 line and try and get yourself escalated to a second tier CSR (an actual IO) who could see if your biometrics have been scheduled (the first level can only see what you can see yourself online).

Obviously, my experience is in WA, but it shouldn't matter that much. The Seattle office is particularly backed up compared to some others and they are managing biometrics appointments pretty quickly.
