my package keeps getting forwarded

hi everyone -

my husband and i mailed our I-751 package to the Nebraska Service Center last week...not knowing it is now the California Service Center that's processing them for our state. (i just saw the post here yesterday about the change...and the darned USCIS website still says Nebraska!!)

i'm really frustrated because according to USPS tracking, our package has gone from here to Nebraska, then to California and is now back in Nebraska again!! how could that happen? it doesn't make any sense to me that it's gone back to Nebraska when California are the ones doing the processing.

does anyone have any insight? and can someone give me instructions for how to get a live human being on the USCIS phone line?

13 Feb. 2006 - sent I-130; 14 Feb. 2006 - I-130 received at Nebraska

28 Feb. 2006 - NOA-1

2 Mar. 2006 - RFE for payment problem; 3 Mar. - corrected & mailed; 6 Mar. - USCIS rec'd payment

12 June 2006 - APPROVED! (NOA-2)

20 June 2006 - case number assigned

3 July 2006 - DS-3032 and AOS Fee bill generated; 6 July - emailed DS-3032 Choice of Agent

13 July 2006 - Received DS-3032 (UK)

14 July 2006 - DS-3032 mailed to NVC

17 July 2006 - DS-3032 and AOS Fee received in mail

19 July 2006 - mailed Fee bill to NVC; recieved at NVC St. Louis facility 20 July

16 Mar. 2006 - NOA1

3 July 2006 - received RFE (IMBRA); 5 July 2006 - mailed RFE response

10 July 2006 - received USCIS email confirming receipt of RFE response

13 July 2006 - received RFE (IMBRA) AGAIN

17 July 2006 - mailed 2nd RFE response; received by USCIS 19 July

27 July 2006 - APPROVED!

7 Aug 2006 - case number assigned at NVC

11 Aug 2006 - Recieved NVC letter confirming case sent to london

23 Aug 2006 - Received Packet 3 / 25 Aug 2006 - Mailed back

That's wrong as far as I understand. It would not go back to Nebraska.

that's what has happened. according to the US Postal Service, it is now back in Lincoln Nebraska as of about noon today...

has anyone else had this happen?

Yes,this happenned to me.I think it is the USPS fault,not USCIS. I mailed mine to TSC,not knowing about VSC.My package got to TSC,then forwarded to another state, then to Vermont,then back to Texas. I talked to a live person in USCIS and they had no clue. The "immigration agent" told me that the address I sent(TSC) was correct. She told me to wait 30 days and call back.

I went to my local post office the next day and talked to the manager. He had no clue either but gave me the phone number of the post office that had my package in Texas. There, a nice lady told me about USCIS forwarding all TSC applications to VSC.She also told me she would make sure my package got to the right destination(VSC).

The next day my package got to VSC.My NOA arrived 1 week after that. And my BIO Appt arrived 2 weeks later. I just did my fingerprints today. :yes:

thanks, Maritza! that at least makes me feel a bit better. my package is still in limbo, but i will cross my fingers and hope for delivery soon.

i wish the USCIS could get their act together!! :wacko:
