The form i downloaded from this site for the affidavit of support looks totally different from the one i sent with the petition back in November. Is this just a new revised I-134? Or should i go back onto the uscis site and download the same one i have back in November. Im getting these ready to send to my fiance tomorrow as I was told he needed updated I-134 and the NOA2. one more q, my congressman said i dont have to send the I-134 affidavit of support, is he wrong? oh ill send it anyway to be on the safe side.

Thanks,

Tara

The I-134 available in the download section of VJ is the most current up to date. In fact the link takes you directly to the USCIS site for the I-134.

Tara,

Are you sure that the form you downloaded from this site is the I-134? Or that it was the I-134 that you sent with the petition? I-134 hasn't changed since June 2004, and then only minor differences from earlier versions, so if the forms you've looked at are totally different they were not both I-134.

You'll have to ask the consular officer who processes your fiance's visa application if your congressman is right or wrong - it's that consular officer's option to request an I-134 or not.

Why did you include an affidavit of support with the petition?

Because the the info i used said i needed to send the affidavit of support with the petition, you have to prove he will be supported.

And the I-134 affidavit of support i downloaded from this site is the newest version, even says exp.04-30-2007...it also says I-134 affidavit of support at the top of the form.

On the actual I-129F in the directions they do not tell you to send an I-134.

Just download the one from here or from the USCIS page and you may want to look at the sample form to make sure yours looks like that.

Well i sent it with the petition anyway back in November, i felt better being safe than sorry.

My only concern was, should i send the same designed I-134 this time for his interview, or the new updated version.
