Sorry... I'm late getting in on this one. :(

Three things jumped out at me.

Grades - If they don't come up, she will loose her financial assistance, so out of your whole story, that's the thing that needs to be "fixed", other than your own homophobic feelings.

Sexual Orientation - It is not just a "phase" one grows out of (or into for that matter). It is not something you change with counseling or medicine. It's defined from within and by genetic makeup.

Younger sister - do you honestly think that by keeping her away from older sister it will prevent her from *gasp* becoming a bi/lesbian as well?

Someone needs to read up on the psychology of humane sexuall behaviour, and then you need to go in for your own reality check.

Jelti, did you make a concious choice as to finding men attractive? Just curious

Being attracted to men or women is not a choice. I have been attracted to women. I have been attracted to men. My choice lies in what actions I allow to stem from that attraction.

So you're saying you're bisexual? Awesome!

I fail to see how my sexual preference has anything to do with you. :)

Dead horse smilie, anyone? :P

i am with you on this,,the op has immense info...and time too put this thread to bed

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

enough!!!!

people are people. like depeche mode said.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

I think that the issue of bisexuality must be accepted by you. It´s not a disease and it doesn´t have a cure so you might as well accept it or else you might loose your daughter´s trust and friendship. The younger one might be confused and maybe she´s not bisexual but just experimenting and will grow out of it.

I am also very late to this thread. I too don't think this is something your daughter can help and I would'nt give a ###### what other people think!! I would hold my head up high and be proud of my daughter and don't give her the hard time that other pig headed people do,your her MUM and she needs you.

Life is too short and we should not care what others think.

I went to a funeral last week, hubby's cousin, she was only 48. I was informed by a whisperer that her daughter was the gay one!!!! I was furious!! I actually said"So F****** what!!!"

The poor girl's mum had just died and I was being told her daughter was gay!!! Her mum was VERY proud of her and they had a brillaint relationship, her mum supported her. She does'nt have brother's or sister's and really no close relative's,that poor child is going to miss her so much and have to put up with narrow minded people without being able to confide in her.

Be proud,be supportive, don't give a second thought to the whisper's.

Your younger child will go her own way, whatever that may be, she can not be forced or influenced into being gay.

Best wishes to you and your lovely daughters (F)

Could ya'll please not turn this into a flame war?

Either MomNeedsAdvice is for real, or she's a troll. If she's fer real, we'd do her a disservice by turning this into a flame war. If she's a troll, we'd do ourselves a disservice by giving her the satisfaction.

My money is on her being real.
