How long from NVC to consulate?

Does anyone know how long it would take from NVC to Kiev??

It's been a few weeks now and no news about Packet 3.

About 3 weeks. BUT do not wait for packet 3! My fiancee will arrive in the USA tomorrow and packet 3 never arrived at her flat! Download it from the website. You do not need to wait to receive this packet to make an appointment or get the medical exam. All you need is the KEV number. Write to the consulate at kyiviv@state.us, reference your case number beginning with KEV which you got on the NVC letter and ask if they have your case. You will get a response in 1-2 days. If they have your case, call and make an appointment (if you have packet 3 info ready) We had most of our packet 3 documents ready at the same time as the I-129f filing.

No. More correctly, YOU are waiting. Stop waiting, download packet 3 and make you appointment as soon as they get your file. It is very common for packet 3 to never arrive (maybe the fault of the mail, but it doesn't matter, YOU wait)

Dear Mr. ____:

Thank you for your email message of September 02, 2008. The Consular Section is pleased to inform you that currently your fiancée's case has been loaded electronically into our database. However, the hard copy of the case has not been received yet. Therefore, we cannot take any action on the case until we receive the hard copy of the approved petition from the National Visa Center (NVC). Upon the receipt of the hard copy of the case the instructions on how schedule an appointment will be mailed to the applicant.

No problem, as Gary said you can download everything you need off of the embassy website - checklists and document requirements. Get started now so there is no delay when you get the notification from the embassy to make your appointment.
