I am on K3 journey.

My case was approved in july, 2008

NVC confirmed that it has sent my case to US EMBASSY LAGOS since August.

I have e-mailed Lagos several times and there has been no response, not even an auto-response!

Is there anyone here that has received his/her packet from Lagos Embassy between August and now?

Your contribution will be appreciated  .

I am resident in Lagos. I have the approval letter already.

What disturbs one is that there is no instruction to come and pick the packet in person.

Wld one be allowed in when one doesnt have official appointment at the consulate?

Can i send send a relation to pick it for due to my work?

Thank you

not sure of exactly where you are in Nigeria.. but pkt 3&4 are picked up so perhaps someone can just go to the embassey and pick it up.. but you will need to email or fax the approval letter so they can take it to the embassey with them.

I would call the embassy and ask if you need an appointment. My fiance is Kenyan and the embassy in Nairobi sent him packet 3 like 3 times and he never received it so the embassy e-mailed me and said he could go to the embassy Mon-Fri 8-5 and pick one up. He went to the embassy and was turned away because he did not have an appointment  so he made an appointment on line and will go oct 27 to pick up the packet, hopefuly he will be able to turn in the forms while he is there but then he has to make another appointment for his interview.

Good Luck

No, in Nigeria you do not call to make an appointment in Nigeira to reiceve your packet. I ran into the same questions as you. My fiance wa approved in July, and I sent him two weeks after it was sent to Lagos to go and pick up the packet. You will not be turned away just make your your have the approved petition AND the nvc letter that was sent to your wife. As long as you have those you will be able to enter. Keep me updated by sending me a Private Message..my fiance got scheduled for december 15. They are scheduling crazy out there but we still thank God! Hope this helps!
