Gawd damm golly gosh .......talk about almost giving me a heart attack. I have a g/f who has been storing some of her things in a back bedroom. She came tonight to move them out. She had opened the sliding glass door of the bedroom that opens onto an enclosed patio. She was using that exit to take things out to the trailer. Next thing you know I hear this screaming as she is running out of the bedroom.....'theres a ferret' she says....I am looking at her weird thinking she nuts and said 'what a mouse'. 'NO a ferrit', as she continues to dance around in a panic. 'A possum' I said laughing, honestly thinking she had her critters mixed up cause she hates critters of any description. Next thing I saw it coming out the bedroom door into the living room where we were. You have never seen this wench move so fast to stand on top of my chair hahahahaha ####### I was thinking.....there is no ferrets around here. G/f is in hysteria by now. I was watching the ferret just wandering around the house without a care in the world. I realised that it had to be a pet of someones that had decided to go walkabout as it wasnt fazed by us at all. My son managed to get it in the bathroom where we could close the door so my g/f would come back inside the house. Its icy cold outside but she felt she would fare better lol We remembered seeing someone walking a ferret on a lead a few months back and so we went door knocking to find them. Sure enough they were missing one said ferret. The little girl that owned it came down and rescued us lol Here is a pic of the ferret safely back in its owners arms......I had to get a pic lol as not exactly everyday I have a ferret in my house :blink:

Agreed Lorelle - would have loved to seen you on that chair though :lol::lol: my grandkids in the states have 4 of those things- relly cute looking, not that I like them and it will be very interesting to see what my rottweilers will make of them :devil: We will definitley have to keep them apart, Morgan will think it is lunch time :lol::lol: ( sorry to all ferret lovers) :whistle:

Girl is only little.....but hey we must breed em (ferrets that is) big down here, cause that thing was huge compared to what I imagined a ferret was.

I like ferrets. They have very sharp teeth tho. I always seem to meet the ones whose owners say "nah, she don't bite" and they immediately jump up and hang on to my chin or something with their teeth. Its quite commical actually ;)
