Hi everybody, Maybe a silly question!!

Do they take your picture when you go for your citizenship biometrics?

NO!!!!, you have to read the M-476 manual, you supply your own passport quality photos, no jewelry, no smiles, you need two of them and that will be the photo you will find on your certificate.

Also have to send a ton of evidence, manual tells you what.

Hi everybody, Maybe a silly question!!

If I remember correctly, USCIS ASC will take photo when you apply for Permanent Residentship.

But for US citizenship, they don't take the photo. They just take fingerprint for all 10 fingers.

So answer is No.

Ha, would be a lot easier if they did take the photos, wife was never happy with those, a very long trip of us, she is tired, doesn't get a chance to fix her hair or makeup, and doesn't get to see the actual photo they have taken. At home was a two hour session for us, proper backlighting, which clothes to wear, hair and makeup fixed just right, but she was a little irritated she couldn't smile, had to reject those shots.

Photography is one of my hobbies, have a bunch of lenses, bounce flash, no red eye and perfect illumination of the face, professionals may take over 300 shots to get one good one, ha, got by with fifty. Good news, she got the photo she was pleased with and that certificate will be with her for the rest of her life. Did rely on the professionals for the actual photo, got rid of my dark room a long time ago, that really takes a lot of time.
