I called NVC yesterday 9/9/08.... and she told me they sheduled my husband on OCT 9, 2008.. What a blessing! Our case was completed on Aug 4, 2008-- IR1.. I think we should pay for document verification, right? coz it should be at least 1 month prior to interview... how about medical.. my husband can do it next week??

Yes. I called: 9/8/08:no appt yet, 9/9/08: no appt yet,

I will be calling them until Friday but I will speak to a Rep on Friday. Did you call them?

Happyinlove, you probably will have the interview date set for early Oct, looking at others who were completed mid Aug.

I wonder why they wait almost 1 month to schedule, and then schedule 15-20 days ahead of the date, kind of close call.

On the other had, last month I did see a lot of interviews scheduled 3rd week, even end of Aug some. And Roca was scheduled early Sept.

So I am not really sure anymore. Operators told me too that they schedule on 2nd week, but does it mean they do not do it other times really?

i paid my DV just today at metrobank for 650 PHP. my interview will be october 3rd, i'm scheduling my medical a week ahead. i'll be flying to manila this 24th for my medical this 25th and 26th of september. hopefully all goes well with god's grace..

kinda worried about the DV considering that from today until my interview date, it's just 3 weeks..i hope it doesn't cause any delay as my flight has already been scheduled. but im putting my fears aside, i'm just happy everything is falling into place right now. whatever happens, i'm lifting it up to HIM now. if there's one thing i learned amidst all experiences in this journey, it's the very thought that HE's the only one who knows what's gonna happen next and we are in no position to dictate his will...

Congrats mhal2008. I have updated your info on the spreadsheet. You should definately pay for Doc verification asap. You should get the medical exam asap too. Good luck on the interview. When was your case mailed to the embassy?

Glad your nvc process is moving along!

My rfe was for line 22 on 864, nature of self employment. I am really really p#*sed off about this, I did put the nature of self employment there, but they did not like it, they did not want the nature of business, but exact position I am holding in my self employment. This is the most weird thing I've ever heard of. Maybe they were curious if I am a receptionist to myself, or a driver. Should have put CEO.. Operator explanations was that I should put nature of business and add a word "contractor", as this will make them feel better.

Because of this stupidity I am stuck for another week at least.

You would go to the website listed below and enter the date, for example, if the document was to be sent out today September 10, 2008 you would put it EXP 09 SEP 2008A on the reference number space and then you would select from the drop down box SEP 10 2008 to SEP 10 2008 and then enter. You leave all the other spaces blank. and it will list all the embassy that shipments were mailed to. I hope that helps.

Congratulations to you both & happy to hear the good news that finally NVC sets the appointment dates for the interview. Keep monitoring your DV developments sometimes that's one major cause of delays re. visa issuance resulted to white slip. I suggest to ask your USC spouse to personally talk Misses: Lorraine/Grace of USEM, they are more cordial and do reciprocate all types of queries in giving information relative to your visa case status. My case complated on August 27th , and interview date will be on Oct 29th ..too long.

AVR system hasnt updated yet , my husband called to life operator, and they told him that documents had sent to embassy and interview date is available also.

Did you check with life operator?

congratulations girl! a little waiting na lang and you'll be off to your husband's arms soon.. kami, we just sent our ds230 part 1. we had an RFE about the places lived since 16. i only lived in 2 places. in my province and in manila when i studied there in college. the RFE letter stated that we must have ommitted answering that part... eh yun lng naman talaga tinirhan ko... it's stressful. what i did was to put N/A na lang dun sa mga blank spcaes after ng last answer ko... hope we get approved soon..

i just mailed my ds230 to my hubby and hes just waiting for it tapos send n nya s NVC.. ano nangyari dun s RFE m?kasi ako nilagay ko lng dun yung tirahan ko ngaun kasi dun nman n tlga ako since 11 years old ako.. may possibility kya n magka RFE ako? should i put N/A also dun sa ibang spaces kung isang place lng nilagay ko?

I have been calling NVC EVERYDAY since Monday for my interview date and I have been asked to call back after 20th!!!!!

But I like calling them everyday and bug them.

I am getting really impatient!!! My I-194 is expiring soon and I need to leave by end of October, so we are hoping to get an interview date in October!!!
