Guys!

My wife is sick n she does not work since 7 years she is filling I 864 & my mother in law is filling I 864 A coz they live together.

My wife is on social security. She was telling me that she needs to get the her "W2" and my mother in law need her birth certificate to prove her relation to her daughter.

Our case has expidited and is in islamabad US embassy. I m waiting for those documents from my wife.

My question is that my wife & mother in law both ordered those documents which are taking too much time and they still did not get it.

Can anyone guide me that how many days or weeks they (IRS) normally take to send the "W2" & Birth certificate?

Plz i need quick response..

Thanx...

The IRS will not be sending her a copy of her birth certificate at anytime (now or ever.).

Since the taxpayer is not required to submit W-2's to the IRS anymore.... Your wife might be find it difficult to get a copy from them

The employer submits W-2 information electronically to the SSA and the SSA and IRS share databases (not paper forms).

A birth certificate can be done in 1 day in almost all the states but it does not come from the IRS, if the Mother in law is from another country then that is a different story , and the W2 does not come from IRS, it would come from a section of social security I would imagine. The only thing that would come from IRS as far as I know would be their tax transcripts.

So,

Which documetns they both will have to get?

First , was the mother-in-law born in the united states? If so they need to request a copy of their Birth Certificate from Vital Records in whatever state they were born in. If they still live in that state they can go in person and get it in 1 day, with in 3 hours. The W2 information could probably come from the SSA , its only a matter of calling them and asking how they can get it. I have to tell you though, it doesnt seem as if your wife and her mother are in a big rush to do these things. They are not that difficult and the information is only a phone call away.

I think you wife need a birth certificate to establish a relationship between your wife and your mother in law.

The birth certificate has the name of both parents. I hope your wife has her birth certificate.

My mother in law is us citizen. Currently she lives in florida and she got birth in Pennsylvania.

It means according u to guys it will take 2 weeks?

right....

Maybe yes and maybe no, depends on if they allow for express mail or not. Talk with your wife and find out what is going on, try asking things in detail with her. She has all of the answers to questions but maybe you arent asking the right questions or exploring all your options. GL to you. :star:

She has her BC but mother in law she just ordered her BC.

Guys plz tell me that with I 864 & I 864A what are the relevant documents?

This information is available all over VJ and in fact is on the I-864 form as well. I'm not trying to be rude at all Sibtain, but I really think it would be in your best interests to read the form instructions.

Which documents you need to send depends on your particular situation - for the main sponsor, are they using assets or income, what type of income, for the joint sponsor are they using assets and income, just income and what type of income.

If you read the instructions they tell you what documentation you need for each scenario.

As for your Mother in Law, who was born in Pennsylvania, did you do a google search for information on obtaining a birth certificate from Pennsylvania? Below is the online application estimate - maybe they ordered it by mail, which might take a little longer.

You might want to ask your wife how they ordered it and what the time estimate for delivery was. Plus, since you are so concerned about the time it is taking to get the birth certificate, if you think they are taking longer than estimated, why not ask them to follow up on it.

I guess i'm just confused as to why you are asking us these questions and not your wife?
