Hola, currently working on my packet 3, almost ready to send that in.

I believe i've come accross a potential snag..

Here's what's happening, my initials are BAM. Those are my initials, my first name, middle name, and last name, in that order. Its what i've always gone as, my drivers license matches that, my health card matches that. Its me.

I went to do my medical yesterday, and i told them it was for a visa, yadiyada, and the lady had to see my passport for that. On my passport, my name appears as ABM, and she was the one to flag this to me as a potential problem. After i panicked for a bit, i figured, ok, that's fine, i'll call the passport issuing agency and have it corrected, but they say there is no mistake, its how my name should appear. I validated with my birth certificate, and lo and behold, it appears as ABM, so i figure, ok, at least my passport and BC match, so i'll just send my packet 3 as ABM, but then i got to thinking, everything else about this request was done as BAM, the I-129F, everything.

I never figured this was a problem before, both my names appear, and i just figured government officials just like inverting everything anyways, so i never really gave it much thought until the lady at my medical pointed it out.. My birth certificate was issued in 2003, my actual birth record from 1981 is something we call a baptistere in quebec, which was filed by a church official, and that one matches what my name should be, BAM.

I even went to get my police certificate, they needed my drivers license for that, so my police certificate was done as BAM. I'm guessing the FBI name check was done as BAM as well. I've always gone under that name.

What do i do :( is my visa request ruined?? I dont have time to get both my birth certificate AND passport rechanged BEFORE i send my packet 3 back in :(
