I am assuming that you checked out the K3 guide in Guides section. You should also plan to include additional evidence of your marriage. This can include

Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or

2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or

3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or

4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or

5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or

6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.

Also, submit your wedding invitation (if you have an extra copy), wedding/reception pictures. You can go 1 step further and also send a copy of your wedding dvd.

The I-130 initiates the IR visa process....

In addition to the I-130, the K-3 process does not really begin until you file the I-129F petition

If you read before you posted, you'd see the OP submitted items 3 and 5 in your list. The suggestion is to submit one or more items from the list, so it's covered already. Additionally, this is not "evidence of your marriage" it is intended as evidence of a bona fide relationship. As such the evidence should address the relationship, not the "wedding". The marriage certificate is all they need to prove they are legally and lawfully married.

thanks fodoingr your help.

I suggest you take some time and check on just doing the CR-1. They are a MUCH better visa and at this time almost as fast as the K3.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

that takes longer...I know they are a better visa, but to my knowledge CR-1 takes about 2 years, where as K3 takes a year or less

You are misreading something. Please be specific. By today's timelines a given couple will probably be reunited a couple months sooner with a K3 and a CR1, if they do everything right.

one more question.. My wife's passport does not have my name on it. Is that okay, or do I have to add my name on her passport before starting the whole process? (It currently has her father's name in the field husband/father's name)
