You can join a gym and go together, especially now that the winter months are coming.

Home made food is healthier than eating out.

Once you start hitting the gym every day and start seeing results it becomes addictive. And you have to eat good, too. If you go to the gym every day but still eat ####### food, you'll just stay the same weight and not get any healthier. I put on a decent amount of post-marriage weight but have been shedding it pretty quickly the last couple of months...it takes dedication.

The routine that's worked for me is eating lots of protein and healthy carbs, lifting weights (high reps with little to no rest between sets), and LOTS of cardio. For me, the key has been finding cardio that I can do every day without getting sick of it. I just make sure I get an elliptical machine in front of a TV during a TV show that keeps my mind off the cardio (usually Law and Order, Without a Trace, etc.). I drink three protein shakes a day to tide me over between meals, so I don't get hungry and eat ####### I shouldn't be eating.

Have a personal trainer set up a routine for both of you if you're not sure where to get started.

KFC in a healthy thread just so totally not go together.

Sweating has nothing to do with losing weight or keeping healthy. All it does is get rid of some toxins and dehydrate you. once u drink a lot of water you're body is back to normal.

Eat healthy food and exercise. there's no other way to stay healthy.

There's no secret to being healthy. Eating small and semi-frequent meals, doing plenty of exercise, and things humans normally do will help you lose weight. Sitting on your can all day and watching TV, or eating garbage, will ensure that your body ends up like garbage.

I personally enjoy biking, hiking, hockey, basketball, football, baseball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, rollerblading, racquetball, and hell, I will have a blast playing with our kids. I think what will continue to contribute to my good health is the love I have for a good woman that I'm blessed with, and what we will make out of it. Nothing will keep you on your toes and in good shape like a good woman and energetic kids.

Hmm...sometimes when you have major life changes exercise gets thrown to the wayside to deal with current issues. I know it is totally not easy.

How about a sport the two of you could participate in together...like raquetball, tennis etc? I am a runner, and what keeps me motivated is signing myself up for different races. Not only are they fun (and you get a cool shirt) but knowing you have a race coming up keeps you motivated to stay in shape.

Anyways, you and your husband should experiement with different sports, classes etc and see what you guys enjoy best. I know many larger cities have classes/sports leagues that are typically cheaper to join than private ones.

Anyways...have fun and good luck!
