Hi,

Just need to get clarification on question #20. It asks for all the places where you've lived for at LEAST 6 months. My husband has lived at the same address since childhood, but just changed his job to a different location in August. Would I put his present address in #20? It's only been one month since he's lived there and #20 only asks for places where you've lived for at least 6 months. It also says to start with your present address first so I'm confused if I need to start with his present address (which has only been one month). Thanks for your help.

This question is predominantly for determining where a potential visa holder will be required to get a police clearance... Since your husband has lived all his life in one country, and based on your circumstances, any way you answer the question makes no difference...

India may be a country that requires state as well as country police certificates. I would ask what others with SO's from India have done.

Actually it's not a question for PCC. I know my husband has to get all PCCs from local police authority and passport office from ALL areas in India where he's lived for at least 6 MONTHS. Question is, he's only stayed at one address (for at least six months)...but moved to a different city but has been living there for only a month now. So would he put this place under question 20? it's only asking to list places where u've lived for at least 6 months and it's only one place in his case....but his present address is different...so don't know if he has to put that also even though he hasn't been there for more than a month.

In that case put the current address. Could you please fill in you timelines and CSC or VSC.

Thanks.

Sorry for the earlier reply. Let me correct myself.

Last address and dates.

Hope that will help you.

I actually haven't kept track of the timeline...but here's a general idea of what I know from top of my head:

sent in I-130 at the end of April, 2008

July 18th got approval notice

Mid-July got letter from NVC with case # assigned

DS-3032 accepted on August 15th (it was accepted via e-mail to NVC)

I-864 fee received in August along with ds-3032...i think it was August 10 and I sent it the next day

I-864 form sent to NVC on Aug. 20th.

IV fee bill paid online Aug. 21st and cleared the next day

DS-230 ready to be accepted the same day (Aug. 21st) but I am still waiting for PCC and other documents from my husband

DS-230 missing letter received from nvc yesterday (Sept. 09, 2008)

Thx.

I would say since you probably would have to put current address on page one, I would put it again and list xxx 2008 to PRESENT. Can't hurt to be too thorough...trust me you don't want an RFE for something simple like that.
