I didn't hear from Govi for a couple of days (Holi holiday plus the usual loadshedding problems - ah Nepal....), anyway he received the evidence I sent him and he went to the office for his physical - they did his chest Xray yesterday but I belive he goes for his actual exam today.

OK, just got off chat with Govi - he had his full medical 2 days ago and everything went well, woohoo!!!

He also got the appointment letter from the NVC and he goes to pick up the evidence i sent tomorrow.

He did say one thing that has me worried - he said he talked to 'someone' and they said out of 60 applicants they only gave 6 visas - i asked if that was for family based visas also and he said 'all visas'..... :o

Now I am really scared.... Are they keeping families apart because of the economy?? :(:angry::crying:

Hi Dolma, So happy for you. Good luck with Govi's interview. Everything is go just fine. I am so happy that my wife's social security already arrived in 6 days. We went to our local office to apply for SS and it was in mail yesterday :dance::dance:

That is wonderful news JB - finally an end to this madness. :dance:

I am stressing about our interview because I flubbed our meeting date when we went to the embassy 2 years ago and am afraid they will have it on file and when G gives the correct date they will think he is lying and deny him the visa without telling him why....

I have thought about faxing the embassy with the corrected info but people are saying not to worry so much... i dunno, maybe it's because I have heard of crazy things happening with high-fraud consulates in poor countries I don't think I can be too paranoid or careful. I have read anecdotal instances where through pre-interview investigation they have found 'dirt' on a beneficiary, s/he has given a flawless interview, all the forms are in order, ton of evidence and still the file is sent back to USCIS because their answers did not mesh with other facts they discovered, and both beneficiary and petitioner are left in the dark. I am just thinking I want to avoid that sort of situation if possible.

My first wife flubbed how we met in her interview and she didn't have a problem. She did get blue but it was because she was still waiting for a police certificate from Brunei where she used to work. I wouldn't worry.

Just bumping this thread up in case any of our group is still checking....

Our big day is tomorrow - by this time tomorrow morning we will know our fate....

I am so scared...

I hope Govi can come online(if he can find a part of town where the electricity isn't cut off - d@mn load shedding!!!) :angry: - there are a couple more things I need to tell him.
