Sasha thank u...my wife just called me and told me she is done with interview. She got the visa :):dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

She can go pick up her passport/visa between 5 and 6 from VFS center in Mumbai India....I am jus so happy that this is finally over...I really want to thank all of you for helping me out since past 1 year....I am so greatful to all of you....I wish all of you a sucess in life

eta: How do you know that the package reached the embassy? I have not checked.... Also, on the appointment letter it didn't look like there was anything for G to do except the medical and bring PP photos, so what is this talk about Packet 3 and 4??? I hope we are not forgetting anything!!!!

I tracked my package with DHL and then called the DOS to find out when the file was under review. It took about a week from when the embassy received the package for the DOS computer to show it was received and being reviewed.

Packet 3 is redundant now due to the change in filing procedures with NVC. Everything that is supposed to be filled out for Packet 3 is now sent to NVC. They usually will only send packet 3 if something is missing from what the NVC sends to the embassy. Packet 4 is your interview date and medical exam instructions that you just received. Since you got packet 4 the NVC file was complete and you won't get packet 3.

Govi said yesterday that he is going for his medical today (Sunday is a work day in Nepal) and he said he did not need to bring the appointment letter... I don't know how he got that info but hope it is true, at least maybe they can tell him what shots he needs. He does have his vax record so that is good. He still hasn't gotten the big box I sent him with the evidence and appointment letter.
