Please explain the scheduling - to get January interview when does NVC need to get the DS-230?

Also if i paid both fees online will NVC send the DS-230 to Govi or do I need to send the link to him to print out?

NVC will schedule an interview date once your case is completed. They schedule interview date by every second week of the month.

After you have paid both fees online, you can print out the barcode and send in your DS-230 without waiting for NVC. Usually the foreign spouse will send all the required docs to the USC to be sent to NVC.

Okay, i know it's only been technically 3 days since they recieved our DS230 but i am so anxious.

I have a few questions. They say it was recieved on the 14th but it was actually recieved on the 13th which means they didn't open it until the 14th. How many days does it take for them to actually look at it and how long before you know that you are getting an rfe?

Secondly, if they approve it today for instance ofcourse we won't make this month's scheduling but my question is do they schedule the interviews as they approve the DS230 or will we have to wait until the 2nd week of December to find out? B)

MrsRowe, nvc opens documents and puts it into their system about a day from the time they receive it. you should know about any rfe's in 3 days more or less. once you get completed , nvc will assign you an interview date even 2 days after completion. no need to wait for 2nd week of december. of course my answers are just based on my own experience with nvc, it might differ a bit on a case to case basis. but if all goes well, your case will be completed after a week. you might want to call nvc every other day just to check about any rfe. dont worry MrsRowe, you'll have good news very soon.

Our case is also under final review. They informed my husband to try calling later this week to check if our case is already complete. I hope it gets completed before december comes.

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

if they say its in final review, then you will be getting good news very very soon. by friday, your case should be complete.
