OK, I just paid the $400 IV fee bill online today(finally). Should I be receiving the I-864 soon?

I have been dealing with some personal medical issues so hard to deal with the visa the last couple of weeks. I have an eye condition that mede me lose my right eye when I was a baby and as I have found out makes people develop cataracts at a young age. I found out I have a cataract last year in my good eye and because my condition causes my retina to be fragile I will be at risk for retinal detachment after surgery. I have a tough decision to make whether to have cataract surgery now or later - for most people it is a routine procedure but for me it is more risky and I have one eye. I have even had doubts as to how wise it it bringing Govi here when he will be dependent on my income and God help me if I lose my remaining sight.... So please pray for me, I have an appointment to talk with a new doctor on Dec. 1 and need to make the decision - my vision is getting so bad it is hard for me to see anything clearly unless it is right in front of me and it is stressful at work since I cannot recognize faces.

Hi,

I will pray for you. this sounds like a a reason for an expedite. It may be helpful to have your spouse here to assist you while you are going through this.

I know what you mean. My husband is waiting. He is depressed one minute and in a good mood the next. Mainly, because our case is not complete yet and now we are hoping for a beginning of January interview. Your lucky you will have yours out of the way before you see him. He is scared that he won't get an interview in January. Our case is in the review stages right now. Hopefully, it will be complete soon.

Damm! it is still under review. How long does this take? They receipted my husbands BC on the 12th. I still have to call everything because I am afraid they will come up with something else that is missing. (Not that I can think of anything) But still, I know I did not make the DEC interviews but I still want some piece of mind. This Sucks!

Thank you guys!

I needed my spirits lifted!

Hey Pattu Rani! I will pray for you. Do you have a friend that can download your I-864 and I-134 and help you fill it out? Is your husband going to or has filled out the DS-230. I wonder if you can get your case expedite, perhaps showing the NVC your documents and recommendations from your eye doctor that it is an emergency that you need your spouse with you at this critical time?

Hey anyone, do you know what she can do? Has anyone been it a similar situation like hers?

I haven't had the medical part. I will be praying about that too. However, because the fees were paid online, they won't be sending the I864, at least they didn't send me one. They didn't send me the DS230 either. We downloaded them from the computer and sent them in with the printed out coversheets you get when the fees show PAID.

As far as my status with the RFE...I sent them the original certified copy of our marriage certificate and they signed for it on Nov 3 and they are saying they don't have it. So as of this evening my case at the NVC is under supervisor review. Has any of you went through this before?

ok - this is good to know that they won;t be sending me the I-864 - I was thinking maybe it was lost in the mail or something. i will print it out on Monday and send it in - my documents are all together for that. Govi still need to get his BC translated(I think?) and get his PP photos. My vision is not so bad at this point that I am unable to work on the computer - i just need to sit very close to the screen and use large font. I am still keeping up my eBay business. My biggest challenge now is distance and night vision though I am still able to work and get around. I am trying to get everything to NVC by the end of the month before my Dec. 1 appointment - I still need to get my evidence together to send to Govi which i will probably get done over Thanksgiving. According to my astrologer FIL he says I should have my surgery before 1/15 but i will follow my doctor's advice. As much as I wish he were here for moral support it would be more difficult to deal if he were here since at this point I don't even have the apartment set up for his arrival yet(no place for us to sleep) - my brother will be with me during the surgery if I have it now and my ILs and Govi will be doing puja at Pashupatinath on that day.

Hang in there! I am having some health problems too, so I totally understand wanting/ needing him here! Good luck with it all! Keep us posted.

Another problem wiht the PCC...The police in Kosovo wont give it up until he has something from 2004 removed(he has to go befor the judge to get soemthing stating that hes not convicted of it) something like that, it's over something so stupid and minor i can't beleive it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he has to appear ont eh 26th next week. Once he leaves court that day they said he can go directly to the police station and pic it up. If the judge isnt an a-hole.

No December interview for me hopefully if all goes well January.

Is there an expidite for pregnancy at NVC?

I don't get how the police can hold his PCC as if there the ones giving him the visa?

Okay, i know it's only been technically 3 days since they recieved our DS230 but i am so anxious.

I have a few questions. They say it was recieved on the 14th but it was actually recieved on the 13th which means they didn't open it until the 14th. How many days does it take for them to actually look at it and how long before you know that you are getting an rfe?

Secondly, if they approve it today for instance ofcourse we won't make this month's scheduling but my question is do they schedule the interviews as they approve the DS230 or will we have to wait until the 2nd week of December to find out? B)
