I am not lucky to get december interview date :(NVC representative told me that they finished scheduling december interview for Mumbai embassy and I am not in. I just have to wait until January. PCC got me. I thought PCC hold me for one week but no it hold me for one month. :(

Adinath521, That is strange because my case was completed on 11/3 and interview was schedule on 11/4 I am very surprise that they are done with December interview because they should be scheduling it up to 11/14/08 but I guess due to Christmas they are done with Dec. But you will get first week of Jan 2009 so don't worry it will only be one-two week more before you get reunited. Rmusic

It is strange. After reading post from u and kman, I had high hope that I will get interview on Dec. 23. Both of ur case was completed on Nov. 3 and got interview on Dec. 23. My case was completed on Nov. 5. So, I had high hope. When operator told me that I didn't make it in december, I couldn't belive. I called them again and confirmed with different operator.

Like u said, due to christmas break they didn't schedule during last week of december. I wonder when NVC is going to assign interview date for month of January.

same here, case complete nov 3, got interview date dec 23. dont worry adinath, you should be scheduled for early january.

I am so sad. I am a Nov. 5th completed and they told me last night that there was no way to get a December interview. They said Jan and don't be suprised if it is February. They make me so angry. They are so snotty about it. I just want to know if I can see my husband for the holidays. They don't understand the heartbreak that happens every month longer that you can't see your loved one. They tell you "NO" and say call back in a month like it's no big deal and like you are bugging the s*** out of them. Sorry for the rant. Makes me so sad and mad.

I hate how they talk to us when all we want is an interview date. They act like we are being silly to keep asking. I keep trying to tell them I didn't even see my husband in over a year, but they don't care. If they can't give the date, then I understand it isn't that person's fault, but they could at least act nice about it!

Quick question for you Sasha, if we get an RFE do we have to wait for them to send us the letter or if we hear it from a Rep can we jsut send in whatever it is. Just want to be prepared, just in case.

Now, I am not Sasha, but I can answer this. Did you pay online? If so, print out a coversheet and send in what is needed. Write your case number on the top right in pencil though. I was told this from an operator at the NVC.

Each operator is different. I learned here I was supposed to send in the original birth certificate, so I called in to see what else had to be an original and she sounded surprised that I asked that. She told me the marriage license. So, I went in and overnighted those... I come back here and I was told I also had to send in the original PCC. SO I call the NVC back to verify that I wasn't missing anything. She told me the only thing they showed me missing was the PCC. :bonk: So I overnighted the original of that last Thursday. I am not sure if it is the one they need though. It is in French. (long story) So my hubby went and got a bilingual one and mailed it off to me Fri and I should have it at the end of this week early next week. I talked to the NVC yesterday to make sure the one I already sent was the correct one. She said they just received it Fri and I needed to give them a week before I call back to find out. Me, like all of you just want that interview date... I just have to wait longer to see even if I have everything in... I will probably call in again when I get the other PCC from my hubby before I spend another $16.50 to overnight it.

Hey guys,

DS230 finally mailed. My husband sent it by DHL this morning. It is expected to be there by Thursday. Whew. :bonk:

there you go  give it about a week MrsRowe and your case will be complete !

Thanks Sasha,

I was this close to beating my husband up but he finally did it. Whew, i thought we were going to be stuck in this for a while. Quick question for you Sasha, if we get an RFE do we have to wait for them to send us the letter or if we hear it from a Rep can we jsut send in whatever it is. MrsRowe, if i remember it right, the operator said you can send in the RFE missing documents but you need to print out a cover letter to go with it, you dont need to wait for nvc to send the letter. however, nvc works really fast so even with an RFE, you should get the nvc letter within 4 days more or less. you can always call nvc so you can catch an RFE in advance. dont worry, i dont think you will get an RFE, youll be fine.

Good news! They received the orginal birth certificate and the case is under final review and soon should be complete. Then I will be with the rest of you fine folks...waiting for the interview date.

Reguardless, I am going to India for Christmas. How about the rest of you? It might help instead of being without your honey! Can you swing it?

Hi waitingforrakesh! We are now on the same boat. They already received the correction on the form last Friday. Still no word yet from them. I am really hoping that this will be a good week for us. only 2 more days before the week ends and then there's thanksgiving next week! My husband has a hard time calling NVC every Monday. Do you also encounter the same problem? Anyway, pls update me once your case is completed. I really don't want to be left behind. hehhehe.

Best regards,

Ynatots

Usually I have a hard time calling during the day. Today, I had a hard time calling all day. Probably because they were closed yesterday. I will call them again tonight.

I feel everyone's pain. My wife and I have been waiting since October of 2007 to be together, and we also have missed the deadline for December interviews. I am so frustrated with our government. We are also frustrated since my wife applied to take the BAR exam in California in February, and there's a good chance that she may not be able to take it. Meanwhile we've been watching people who have applied long after us get approved for their visas. I hate USCIS and I hate Vermont!

August 24 2007 - Married in Tokyo

October 11 2007 - Sent I-130

October 12 2007 - Received by Vermont office

January 12 2008 - Check cashed

February 24 2008 - I-130 available online

August 22 2008 - Transferred to California Office

September 24 2008 - I-130 Approved!

October 4 2008 - NVC Received

October 11 2008 - Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill

October 11 2008 - Pay I-864 Bill

October 16 2008 - Return Completed I-864

October 17 2008 - Return Completed DS-3032

October 23 2008 - Receive IV Bill

October 23 2008 - Pay IV Bill

November 5 2008 - Case Completed at NVC
