Yes! They told me the same thing and a day later (by the end of the day) the case was completed. Good luck! You are almost there!

Said my police clearance was missing....i asked is it was missing or just not excepted, rep said she could not tell me a supervisor has to look into it which will take 10-15 days.

also told me to be on the safe side overnight a copy of the one you sent it with the barcode coversheet...

is there an expiration date on police clearance certs??? This one is from January '08???

He received his from the local police station and rep said that was fine...

Congratulations Sasha!!! I'm glad the completion came as we expected it. 38 days is not bad at all. It took us 31 days without the RFE so your completion time was very good.

THe good thing is that since we got out of USCIS there have been more better days than bad ones. Kinda feels like you have been climbing a mountain and USCIS approval was the top and it has been downhill from there.

THe good thing is that since we got out of USCIS there have been more better days than bad ones. Kinda feels like you have been climbing a mountain and USCIS approval was the top and it has been downhill from there.

USCIS was aweful... their representatives were rude, impatient, and were not knowledgable (at least the ones I spoke to) and the processing dates were bogous. Thank God we didn't get a RFE there. And you're right that was that is was like going uphill and it has been all downhill after USCIS, almost exciting really.

I guess it would be almost preferable to get an RFE at the NVC if you had to pick one, at least you know they will process it faster.

my police Cert was not excepted, has anyone ever had a case complete and then just brought along with them to the interview the PCC??? Can i work this out wiht NVC???

I finally got everything out to them and now this, the PCC takes some time to get...this sucks!!!

Your PCC was probably expired. I believe NVC asks for a PCC that has been valid for the last 6 months. In my country, Ecuador, PCC's are only valid 3 months. I dont think you will be able to work this out with NVC. I suggest you get PCC done quickly.

Can you talk to the supervisor about this? I thought the police certificates were good for one year, but maybe it is only 6 months. However, I would try to find out why it wasn't accepted. I know about the length - it took my husband almost 1 month to get his. I would have your husband just go and get another one (Fed EX it back to you)and in the mean time like you said, send them a copy requesting why they refused it.

Hang in there. I just now had to have my husband send his orginal (in his language) birth certificate. I wished I would have known they would need that. I don't know why the NVC needs this and the USCIS did not. I don't get it.
