I need a little advice. Like usual. My hubby just received the K3 appointment package and I was going to try to do the process where you change your interview from a K3 to a CR interview. It says though that I have to send in all of the original documents to them which is impossible because I just sent all of our originals to the NVC. Shall I just cancel the K3? And how would I do that? I just overnighted our IV Package to NVC this morning before work. I'm confused.

I kind of asked the same question before and the answer I was given was to just ignore any corresspondence that we receive regarding the k3. Dont cancel anything just ignore it and dont send anything back. I hope this is the right answer because that is what I was told here on VJ.

thanks reehon but im upset now, found out we have an RFE because the stupid lawyer didnt send in ds230 part 2. i sent everything complete, and husband wanted to let lawyer double check before mailing to nvc but turned out, that messed up lawyer didnt send in part 2! now husband has to overnight it tomorrow. im upset

Why don't you download the form and fill out part 2 your self because part 2 doesn't need your husband signature correct. Rmusic

Got it, That's why I didn't want lawyer ever thu my sister in law is Immigration lawyer only thing I asked her was to check my I-130 when I send it to VSC just to make sure I got everything correct. Rmusic

I got an RFE on the DS-230...and for something that I included in the packet!

They are requesting an original or certified copy of my hubby's BC. The problem is that I already sent the certified copy and a copy of the certified copy along with my packet. I told the operator that the BC I sent is the official certified copy and that it is even stamped in blue ink with the registrar's seal. She said that it's in "final review" and to wait 10 to 15 days to see if they'll accept it anyway. From how she said it, it sounds like they'll still give me a "case complete", but that I'll have to bring another certified copy to the interview?

I'm just confused because, first, she stated that the DS-230 review had been completed and then she went on to tell me that a checklist had been sent out. Then, she told me to ignore the checklist because they might still accept the copy I sent?

I'm soooo confused...

Has anyone had to deal with this?

well im experiencing it right now, they say they dont have my divorce decree but we sent it to them! and they said to wait 2 weeks for them to review it.

I know ur feeling. Just think positive that u still have chance for december interview. Mistake from lawyer but stll take deep breath send them part2 in timely manner and still u r not going to miss december interview. Best of luck.

when husband called nvc, we found out theyre missing one document. do we need to wait for them to mail us an RFE letter or can we just send them the papers that they need? and if we can, do we need a cover letter for this?

u don't need to wait for the letter. Just print out the barcoded cover sheet from online and include the missing document. I believe u need to change ATTN: CMR to ATTN:DR

Sounds like you should be strangling that lawyer.

Hey Sasha, i think you should print out the part 2 and send it to NVC. Trust me, nothing will happen. They will accept and soon your case will be complete. As for me, even though my case is complete, i'm still waiting for the interview. NVC will scedule the interview in the second week of the NOv for December. I was hoping to get an interview in NOv but no. Anyway, you have like two more weeks to get an interview for December. So send the missing docs asap. If i were u. i would have send it already. Never involve any lawyer. They just waste time and money. So get the things rolling. and best of luck...

So,

DS-230 was received at NVC on 10/15, entered into processing on 10/17, and approved on 10/22 - just called in today and found out!
