I just got the AOS bill in the mail ! I already paid online. However, I noticed they mispelled her NAME ! I called to ask them about that and the lady said that if it was their error that they would fix it with no problem. She said she would just send the information up to a supervisor! Should I believe her and leave it at that, or should I send a copy of her passport with a letter requesting them to correct her name?? OH MY, silly how a little error they make can stress a person out!

I don't think there is one thing in this whole proces that does not stress someone out. I mean the waiting and not knowing does not help. They say the worst thing in life is losing a loved one. Well the second worst thing in life is not being able to be with them.

i paid aos fee online, as per package instruction, i have to print 'cover page' from internet once paid..and return

what is this cover page? what else i need to return to nvc? someone pls let me know

i know this needs to be mailed out this is 'document only' envelope..

briefly describe me what i need to do once aos fee is paid..step by step if you can as i am bit lost at this stage..

After u pay AOS fee, check the status. Once status change to PAID follow instruciton how to print coversheet. Attach coversheet with ur AOS package and mail it to NVC (address is given on coversheet).

On average how long is NVC taking these days to complete the case and schedule the interview after everything is received? This is of course assuming no RFEs. We want to time it so Govi has his interview in late December -early January. I am itching to send everything in though and just have it DONE - G still needs his PCC and I will be getting my employer letter next week.

From start to finish for some about 5 weeks from what I can tell and others around 2 to 2 and a half months to finish NVC. The interviews vary by country.

You can print the 864 out online and you can also fill it out before you print it.

You need to send the last three years of taxes to them copies.

You should also send as many recent pay stubs as you can up to six months.

You can also opt to send tax transcripts from the IRS

Ling Ling has everything you need to do in the August Appproval thread. Go there and it will cover everything you do. I am not sure if you need a co sponsor or not. You need to also send in the Bar code cover sheet.

Okay guys! Our AOS payment was put in out Friday 10-10-2008 and was accepted on Saturday! So now I am going to send the entire I-864, however I have had some problems with it. I got all my W2s, 1040s, 1099s, 1098s, and transcripts. My parents are doing a 864A, one for each, however they only have their transcripts, no 1040s, no W2s, no 1099s. Does this matter? I know it gives the option of either the forms OR the transcripts but I have always felt the that the more I send in the better. What do you guys think? Should I wait to get my parents extra forms or should I just send the whole thing in as is with just the transcripts.

I really think the transcripts should be sufficient. If the IRS is the issuing agency why do they need to see those other forms and reverify everything the IRS has already done...
