I think she meant about the barcode of the ds-3032, right? well, if thats the one you meant, then yes you can write the number in that space. I wrote the number with a black permanant marker and it was accepted the next day.

The Ds-230 is part of Packet 3. It gets sent to the NVC after the IV bill is confirmed paid. CR-1 is the type of green card you get when you arrive. WIth CR-1 the green card you get is valid for 2 years then has to be renewed. The next green card will be valid for 10 years. If you want him to come to the US while the I-130 is still being processed you can apply for a K-3 visa. You apply for the K-3 by sending an I-129F to USCIS. However if you have already reached the NVC then it doesn't make sense to apply for a K-3 the CR-1 will be approved before USCIS can finish processing it.

Packet 3 is sent to the person you indicate on the DS-3032 as the agent. It could be the petitioner, beneficiary or a lawyer. It is sent after the IV fee is paid.

I hope so; I think we have a shot.

I think if we get our cases completed by November 7th, then we would be in line to get an interview date assigned the second week of November when it is supposedly the time they assign interviews for the next month.

Then it would depend on the particular embassy, their backlog, volume of new interviews to schedule, how much they want to work in December, special requirements, etc. But to get to that next step we have to send all our paperwork and get it approved by the 7th. So that's what I'm working on now. My 864 was fedex today and will be received next Tuesday and the DS230 should be mailed next Thursday or Friday.

I told you I had al lawyer and the Ds3032 was submitted with all my paperwork. They send her things. So how long before I get the AOS bill? NVC got my case on Wednesday this week. Do you think I will get something next week from them? Because I need to get the invoice number before I can pay it.

It took about a week from when I got my case number to get the AOS bill. It came with the DS-3032. If your lawyer has received the letter that contained the DS-3032 then he should already have the bill. If he downloaded the form then he should have the bill any day now if he doesn't have it already.
