Hi all,

Quick question, i paid my AOS on Oct 1st and today it still says "In Process". I really wanted to send the AOS packet today but i cant print out the barcode until it says "paid". Does anyone know if this online thing could get updated like anytime throughout the day? Or is it only updated like every 24 hours? Meaning, could i keep checking every few hours and it could change to "Paid"? Anyone notice on their cases if in the morning it still says in process and by the afternoon it says paid?

Have you checked your bank to see what date the money came out of your account? Maybe it's a timing thing.

Please let us know when your status changes to Paid as a few of us are right behind you and need to know all is well.

need help filling out ds230 - list all places of residence. Here is the question, my wife leaved in hostel for 3 years while in college. Should we list that as a residence and if so, do we need to obtain PCC from there. We have gotten one from her current, where she has pretty much lived all her life. I am leaning not putting that down as a place where she resided.

Be patient like you already have. they are just doing CYA as they do to us all here. Be glad that you are at NVC because it appears they stay on there timeline.

A friend of mine recently received a family based visa. She had been given a big brown envelope (not the X-ray) which she was told not to open. Does any one know what's inside?

That is the actual visa. It is opened at the airport and has alot of papers that the immigration officer reviews.

I mailed the DS-3032 today and the rest of my wife's signed papers are at the post office. I got the pink slip but I wish it was the other kind from the embassy

You should include all places she has officially lived. When she lived at the hostle was her official mailing address the hostle or was it her home? If she went to college in a different country then you will need another PCC otherwise the one you have should be ok. The only reason you might need another is if the police districts don't share records. Then you might need one from that district.

Ok I've got the rest of the documents sent by my wife. My application package is ready except for an Authenticated copy of my divorce papers. I just need to get to the state authentication office on Monday or Tuesday and the application package will be ready to mail as soon as the fees are paid. Just need to wait for the invoice number.

Kman, my wife also stayed in hostel for 3 years while in college. I put that address in G325A along with I-130. NVC will also receive a copy of G-325A from USCIS. I would suggest that you put down all residence information identical to G325A, as NVC might reject DS-230 based on wrong information.

We actually didn't list the hostel residence on the G325. That was mistake on my part as I told my wife to not list it because I didn't think of it as permanent address. We did put in DS230 and really hoping that it won't cause a problem because we are trying to correct something wrong on g325.

Yes, they NVC operator can tell you if it was generated yet or not. I mailed off the hard copy that same day on overnight! Then a day later it was accepted making the IV bill available to pay online. This will save you alot of time. I was actually even able to get the IIN number from her also. Lately people are having problems obtaining it from the operators but thank god that i was able to get it on the first time i asked!
