I think AVR is "Additional Verification Required". What is VRU?

VRU = Voice Response Unit

AVR = Automated Voice Response

Both are automated telephones systems that ask you for number (not voice) based options, like press 1 on your touch tone to select. VRU is the older system, and acutally AVR is not the latest system, but a lot of companies use it.

Waitingforeever, Once you pay AOS ( $70 ) and print out barcode sheet ( Cover sheet ) can you send all the documents with that cover sheet or you have to wait for NVC to create actual I-864 package. And it is same for IV bill once you print cover sheet online can you just send the documents or have to wait for actual paper from NVC to received. Any one please respond I am bit confused. Rmusic

Wait till the acutual documents are generated...you will know when they are generated by talking to the operator and he/she will tell you or it will be on the AVR. Sending it early can cause delays

What I mean was once it is paid and cover sheet is printed that means they have generated the packages but do I actual wait for some paper from the NVC after I have paid the fees or once I have cover sheet that means they are ready to accept my I-864 and can be send to the address that is on the cover sheet. I do understand that I should not mail anything until actual packages are generated but once it is paid do I have to wait for any actual paper from NVC or the cover sheet is all I need. When I was at CSC I know how the process works at NVC but now when I am at NVC I feel like I don't know anything. Thanks for responding guys. Rmusic

Please disregard my previous post it did not let me edit it.

Thanks for responding, so what you mean was once I pay online and print out my cover sheet I should wait for the NVC to actual generate the package and then I can send my documents ( I-864, Etc ) with the cover sheet that I have printed to the address on it, but I don't have to wait for the actual package from the NVC, I can use the cover sheet I have and send my documents right. When I was at CSC I know how the process work but now when I am at NVC I have no idea how it works. Rmusic
