At most US consualtes the residency requirement for the USC is 6 mos.

Not all consulates accept direct filed I-130 petitions. You need an answer from them as to the appropriate procedure, if any

Yes, and from this website, it looks like they may not do DCF in the Dominican Republic:

They are doing DCF in the Dominican Republic. The residency requierement for the USC is also 6 months but that won't be a problem in your case since you said you been there for 2 years. You have to call and make an appointment to drop off the petition becasuse an officer has to review before accepting DCF.

this is what you need to take with you that day.

  • Form I-130
  • USCIS Filing Fee of $355 ( It could be cash, check or debit card)
  • Form G-325A – U.S. Citizen
  • Form G-325A– Foreign Spouse
  • passport style photograph - U.S. Citizen
  • passport style photograph - Foreign Spouse
  • Copy of Marriage Certificate (also take an original)
  • Copy of valid US passport - U.S. Citizen (all pages if you are using this as proof of USC if not a copy of your BC will be enought)
  • Copy of Birth Certificate – U.S. Citizen
  • Copy of Divorce Decree from Previous Marriage - U.S. Citizen (also original)
  • Copy of Birth Certificate – Child of Foreign Spouse (also original)
  • I-864- U.S. Citizen
  • I-864- Co-Sponsor
Also take evidence of your relationship and that you and you husband have been living together. Take ### much evidence ### you can, in this there is no such thing ### to much. Be prepare for a mini interview that day. Let us know how it goes
