What does that have to do with it? Many people are religious on paper - its not uncommon.

Yes on paper, but he was not a practicing Christian.

Hard to say - given that Hitler used a publicly professed love of Christianity to justify his crimes.

And of course, the uncomfortable fact that -- regardless of Hitler's religion -- the German people were/are heavily Christian. Even if you make the (dubious) case that Hitler wasn't a practicing Catholic, the fact is that rank-and-file Catholics and Protestants happily carried out his instructions at Auchewitz and Buchenwald.

Also, the SS motto (emblazoned on uniform belt buckles) was the German words for "God With Us"

This country is so far divided and I don't know if it's ever going to get better, I think only worse.

It's always been divided. In a country this large, if we weren't openly divided that would mean someone had a gun to our heads and made us pretend to play nice :)

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

I wouldn't say freaking out. More like shoving this in Republican faces the way they shoved Obama=Muslim and Rev Wright into Democrat's faces.

Of course, all non-issues, but there's nothing else to talk about, which is what both candidates want anyways.

Who said Obama is a Muslim. His father was Muslim, not him.

The only thing that separates you from Wright is that he is religious and you are not. Like him, you both throw out unsubstantiated generalizing garbage about the white people.

the fact is that rank-and-file Catholics and Protestants happily carried out his instructions at Auchewitz and Buchenwald.

As did atheists. Therefore your point is irrelevant.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

I think its interesting how divided it is really - you can go to different parts of the country and the world-view is totally different - almost like its a different country entirely.

Extremely, it would seem.

Is that the same evidence you provided to support your claim that all white men are basically evil and responsible for the evil in the world.

I can see one white person responsible for this kind of garbage. You.

Now you can be an example I use.

So you have nothing basically.

Other than your blind defense of "white people" or your attack on a black person, citing their blackness several times, as a cause for your race-based attack? Nothing much else to your posts. Certainly nothing new. I've seen racists like you plenty of times in my family from the south. You act like the white race is in need of saving and get quite defensive when whites are criticized, then go attack other races. Typical racist.

It's even worse than I thought.

Fundi Christian is bad enough...

4-Square/Pentecostal is much, much worse. And very, very freaky. About the same level as snake-handling.

Snake handling... Sorry I don't agree at all.

You always stereotype Christians. I could stereotype people too but I realize it's not good to and not usually correct.

Does anyone realize the church she goes to now is non-denominational? It's not the same church that she grew up in. Anyway I don't really care about all this. I bet if she said "Ommm" and meditated all the time she'd be considered progressive and cool. But because she might be pentecostal, people are freaking out. Wow.

Well as Republican I never for one minute believed the Obama=Muslim ####### nor shoved anything in anyone's faces, nor believe that Obama agreed with everything Wright preached.

Stereotyping again.

You might want to ask right-wingers like charles, Aficionado, and zqt3344, those who I directly mentioned, as well, who called Obama a Muslim, and at least one of them calling him a terrorist, which is typical ignorant and uneducated nonsense. Then, if you want, we can go all over the fair and balanced FOX news clips. And more than one of those continues to obsess over Reverend Wright. *looks at Aficionado again*

On the contrary, my point is extremely relevant. As I said before, atheism isn't an ideology and claims no special set of morals. Religion in general, and Christianity in particular, makes great claims of moral codes and judgement before a supreme being. And yet, none of that stopped the slaughter of 6 million Jews. In fact, the stain of JC's execution at the hands of "Jews" may well have facilitated it.

Oh I know, poor white people and all their suffering. All that slavery which is sourced by another racist person with no other sources to back up their claim of a heavy white slavery in the U.S. Poor white man. :crying:

We need a White History Month.

What a joke.

No actually it is. Just because it is not an organized religion it is a belief. Hence, why when people from abroad see the douche bags of America pushing no religion ( aka atheism), they have to laugh.

I don't support stereotyping unless it's done in a joking manner, with people who understand you are joking around...so when the far right says something stereotyping the left, I roll my eyes. When the left stereotypes the right, I roll my eyes.

Yes there are others like me and are Republicans. If you are shocked, that's silly. :P

The whole Rev. Wright, Obama = Muslim thing is a typical swiftboating job Republicans are now famous for.

Of course, now Democrats are going to be idiots and follow his lead, and yet again, ultimately, the candidates are not grilled on the real issues. Probably to save face from the embarrassment of last elections with Bush and Kerry looking like complete fools.

So now they just pull out the marketing ####### and, like products, people buy them up. Hell, no debate necessary, you'll vote for me anyways. Suckers.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

What is your news source/s?

Probably the same place as Rev Wright.

Or is all of the media corrupted by white males.
