Dear friends,

As I always send a message to you all every month, my September message mainly pertains to the people who have seen activity on their cases but are still on the wait. My husband and I are also in that catagory as we have been contacted by the embassy mid August but are once again waiting for further notice.

We have our bad days and our good days. I will tell you the bad days are so heart breaking it seems easier to leave this world and than to fight some more. When I read the title "Visa Journey" during my noob days I wondered why they call it that. Needless to say, if you are on this subforum, you know in your bones why it is called that.

A journey indeed. A journey, of a life time. A journey that seems - like a lifetime!

Oh how badly we wish to post the ending of our journeys, but it is not a race. It is a wish to attain the loved ones who we have been waiting for, for a very long time. Some have and are waiting longer than others, but the pain, IMO, is still the same. In fact, the people who have waiting longer had a more dulled pain they are used to than those who are feeling it fresh.

The honest truth is, I have never been afraid of anything in my life. But one thing that got me was, leaving my husband at the end of my visits. The fear of that pain of leaving him once again creeps in a few days before the day of my leaving and kicks in hard hours before. I dread that last night and I become someone else. I could not do that again. That is a main reason I did not see my husband this summer. Was that a smart decision? I do not know. But I asked God to guide me and I know He is. I believe our journey will be over soon and I will see my husband after 2 years in the real light.

Sometimes I like to believe these 2 years were a blur of our imagination. But when I remember all the birthdays, anniversaries and rainy romantic days, I feel the reality of it.

September is here and I am back to the month my husband had his interview last year. It pains me to be back to that month again, but maybe it will be a good month this time?

I pray for that and I pray to God for help. Every single day, every single moment.

Everyone who is still waiting, Nouri, Sarah, Cassandra, Julia, and many more...hang in there. We can survive this. The hard part was finding the love of our lives. This is the easy part.

When asked, would I do this if I had known I would have to endure AP? Yes.

I would do anything to see my husband's face once again. I am sure all of you feel the same way.

So keep that motivation going, and shed those tears so you can get up again the next day. Remember these tears touch God, and He feels your pain. When the moment comes of our reunions, it will be truly magical.

Don't let the visa process sour your love. Please don't. Love like you have never loved before and keep the passion alive with phone calls, e-mails, e-cards and gifts.

Send your loved ones an "I love you" at random days...remember why you started the relationship in the first place. Know that the day will come soon.

Every month we pass, every week we pass, every day we pass, we are getting closer.

So for September, the month of sapphire, I wish to God for me, for you, for everyone waiting that we will be reunited with our loved ones.

Sending my friends my love and prayers,

Tam

Thank you so much Tammy. Your words really hit home and brought tears to my eyes.

I am so ready to stop dreaming about my and Onur's life here together and ready to start living it.

We need some good news in this forum...I hope that it is just around the corner! I'd love to see Onur here before winter hits Ohio. Autumn is my favorite time of year - it is magical and I pray that Onur can experience autumn in Ohio this year, but if not this year, there will be a lifetime more to come.

** Hoping and praying for us all. **

nita dont cry, it will just make you feel hurt, just think about the stuff after ur husband gets here.. start thinkin about what yall want to do, where you wana go...

its so depressing, no one knows wat we got thru excpet for our husbands and us...

just keep rpaying, u know we r not in this alone... we got each other here for support.. thats why this is visa journey. sometimes it makes me upset that non us citizens get to bring their spouses here right away, where we have to wait, and dont know when they will be heere

wwats hard is faving people with answers when we dont know ourselves :(

i cried after the interview so much i felt like my world came crashing down, i dont knwo how i walked back to the hotel after the interivew, i crossed the middle of the road just following my husband foot steps

but everything happens for a reason, sometimes good people go thru more pain that others

hang in there, i hope soon we hear something did u call DOS?
