Can't check status of my I-485 online.

Hi everyone,

I can't check status online for my I-485. It is keep saying that Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. I am sure I put right number. My other forms(I-130 and I-765) are showing since Aug 18.

Also, I had my biometrics done 2 weeks ago, but there is no touch up on my I-765. Everyone here seems to get touch up next day after biometrics.

Is anyone else there have a similar situation? I am getting nervous.

07/23/2008 I-485, I-130, I-765 sent to Chicago Lockbox

07/27/2008 Envelope received

08/04/2008 Check cashed

08/05/2008 NOA received for I-485, I-130 and I-765

08/12/2008 Biometric appointment letter received

08/18/2008 I-130 and I-765 status viewable online

08/27/2008 Biometrics are done

09/23/2008 I-765 Card production ordered

09/25/2008 Received another email saying I-765 Card production ordered

09/30/2008 I-765 Apprroval notice sent

10/02/2008 EA Card recived in the mail

12/04/2008 Interview Notice Recieved

01/29/2009 Interview Appointment

01/29/2009 Interview went well, suppose to receive Green Card in 10 days

01/30/2009 Received a letter for 2nd Interview. Request to file I-601 Waiver of Inadmissability!!! That is make no sence!!! I hope it is just a mistake.

I sent my papers about 1 month and a half ago and I cant still view my case. Nothing too odd, there is alot of people who can't view their cases. So don't worry too much.

That's exactly my situation. No "touch" or anything after BIO on I-765. I-485 doesn't exist on-line.

Give it 4 to 6 weeks especially if you just filed for AOS. Patience is everything when filing for any application, especially for AOS. I would rather have USCIS work on my papers, then have them busy updating each and every file at USCIS. Imagine the workload for all the employees updating the case online if each one has to update it, touches and all...

I couldn't see my I-485 for over 6 months. It only finally showed after I moved and changed my address. I wouldn't worry, if the others show, you know they've received your package. If you need to check anything, you can always call USCIS. It's much easier to get to a second tier CSR (IO) when your receipt # doesn't show up online. :star:

Same here! I sent my papers in June 2008 and wanted to check my status online. Every time I do so they kindly inform me that my case doesn`t exist! :no: So I called USCIS and asked about it. They informed me that they have some problems with their system (I assume a big mess :wacko: ) and it`s possible that my case is not available online yet. But at the same time I asked him to check in "his system" if my documents are there-so I get to sleep for at least one night :content: (believe it or not, but I got lucky and talked to a person with a brain and a bit of good will at the same time! amazing, I know! :thumbs: ) I found out that all my papers are in a right place to be and now I don`t worry anymore (even though my case still "doesn`t exist" online :protest: ).

Sometimes they put cases online right away, sometimes you won`t even see them at all... but it doesn`t mean they don`t work on them !! Head up and don`t worry! :-)

AOS PROCESS

06/11/08: AOS/EAD/I-130 sent to Chicago Lockbox

06/17/08: Package delivered in Chicago

06/18/08: Check cashed

06/21/08: Rec'd NOA's (Receipt notice date: 06/17/08)

07/01/08: Rec'd Biometrics appoinment letter

07/15/08: Biometrics appoinment @ 2:00 PM-Completed

08/27/08: RFE letter (I-485)

09/08/08: sending RFE letter with missing documents back to USCIS

09/11/08: letter delivered

10/27/08 Infopass appointment for my EAD (should receive it in 2-3 weeks... we will see)

10/31/08 EAD card production has been ordered!!! (I-765 finally online)

10/03/08 received EAD card in mail

11/07/08 IL in mail

12/09/08 Interview ; approved!

12/15/08 Card production ordered (online update)

12/24/08 GC in mail!

03/31/2011 10 year GC recieved in mail

You have company. Can't check my I 485 or I 765 status online. Called USCIS and my call was directed to an officer, he said tha t he will put a request for it to be entered into the system but its been a week now and nothing yet.
