Yes an age difference is a red flag, especially 23 years difference. Be prepared for a difficult interview, make sure you have everything you can think of. Letters of support from both yours and her family for the relationship would be good. You have 1 advantage, you have known each other for 5 years, and can prove it. The disadvantage, she will have only been there once for 2 weeks.

Don't be too discouraged, at least you aren't going through Casablanca, they are unfair tyrants. I honestly don't know about the consulate you are going to go through, but I can say I haven't heard of this from any other consulate than Casa.

Chiquita is right...make sure you show them all of your evidence. My husband took in mounds of evidence, and was guided here by a few from Visa Journey to give them only what they ask for. All they looked at was our pictures. He waited for them to ask for more but they didn't. They based their decision on our pictures and the fact that he has a sister here and an ex brother in law. They believe these 2 were married for immigration purposes and later divorced, but she is still married to the man that brough her here. The ex is from a different sister that has never been to the US.

This brings me to my next advise. I am finding that they are asking about family here. Of course be honest, but remember, and ex is not family any longer. I think our case would have been so different if this miscommunication had never occured, but we have never done this before.

Dates....memorize dates. I have heard that they are big into you knowing the correct dates of events. My husband had a hard time. In Arabic he knows them well but his English on dates needed a lot of work. They didn't ask my husband many questions, mostly about his sister, but we did work hard on those dates non-the-less.

Make sure you know about her kids, parents, brothers and sisters. They usually don't ask these things, but like I said....you will have a tough interview.

I hope I am not scaring you, that isn't my intention. Just be prepared and well organized, you should be fine.
