September 2008 filers

Woohoo I got my fingerprints done. I waited about 10mn to get this done, it took about 15mn to take the prints. They handed me the new test booklet AND the old test questions, I will take the old test.

I'm a bit confused as what they call BIOMETRICS, the paper i got at the desk for the fingerprint agent said "10 prints + BIO" and I only got my fingerprints done, so what do they call "BIO" ? She asked me for my date of birth 3 times, is that it

Went to my Bio appointment this morning at 9am. Man, there were only 5 of us there and in quick 10 minutes, I'm done. The lady guard provided me with the Naturalization test packet. And out of curiosity, I asked the lady who did my prints how was it working there and she whispered, " you're not gonna love working here, it's so stressful. They just laid off 4 employees and it's just the 2 of us working here right now"..They're nice and accommodating so no problem encountered..

I received a booklet with the new citizenship test. I was fingerprinted but not photographed. I didnt realized that until I spoke with my father who went through the process a few months ago. He was photographed. I hope they didnt forget.

I wasn't..It's just the prints. I'll take the old one now that i have a copy of it..Goodluck to all of us waiting for the IL.

fingerprints done on friday. Everything went smooth with the BIO. although I was shocked at what happened as I was waiting for my fingerprints to be taken. A guy walked in and said he had received a fingerprint notification but he had already taken oath and was a citizen. and guess what they ask him.....? for his GREEN CARD!. lmao. The guy tries to explain to them that they take your greencard when they give you the citizenship certificate and they asked asked him what is that!! lol. Then they say do you have a passport. He said no. They told him to get his passport to have his fingerprint taken. lol. no wonder they are all messed up.

I had sent my application to VSC on 22nd September and the check was cashed on 26th .... but i haven't received any communication from the VSC .. is this normal ?

I see most of the people got some sort of confirmation sooner than my waiting period ..

Anyone you can talk to ?

It should take approximately one month from the date they recieve application to the Bio date, so i don't think you should be worried yet .

So it looks like the BIOs are being scheduled and completed this month. I wonder who's going to get their first interview notice. Should we start betting?

From what I can see from the july and august filers it takes 3 or 4 months, they are getting their interviews in november so we should be next in december or january

I think the September's filers' wait time may be slightly different than the July/August's - in that most of our cases, if not all, are being processed by NBC. Whether this is going to increase or decrease the wait time, it remains to be seen.
