Happy New Year everyone!

I am trying to be patient, but still waiting on an interview date for Indianapolis. I saw in another thread that someone who applied six weeks after me has an interview in Indy, so keep your fingers crossed that I hear soon.

Hi All,

I'd like to let all September filers that my naturalization journey has been over yesterday right at the end of 120th day from the application submit date.

It was pretty smooth and easy process for me that what I experienced since the begging of the process and it was end it up in the same way. My appointment was early in the morning yesterday and it took around 10-15 minutes with the IO and I was approved. I spent almost half hour at the USCIS building from the walk in to walk out. Interview was so easy going and IO was so nice, friendly and has professional attitude. Since It's been done so quick, I went back home and come back for the Oath ceremony in the afternoon. We were 149 people from 59 countries that have been united under the USA nationality at the end of the very well organized oath ceremony. Now I'm proud of being US citizen

I wish all fellow filers looking forward to the interview to have same flawless experience and wish good luck

Congratulation Prizm...

I also had interview on that day in Atlanta as well but my appt time was 1:05pm and were not called til 2:25pm..

I also passed the exam but was given a "Congrat" paper to be arranged for the Oath date (too late for the 2pm same day Oath Ceremonies)...

Haven't got that letter yet.

My timeline was 115 days when I passed the exam...Hope the Oath letter would be received soon.

Good lucks to everyone!

Mattr.

Mattr,

Thanks for the interest, but I have a feeling that Indianapolis is the hold-up. Their processing dates show that they are only working on March 2008. I also had a problem with my fingerprints being illegible, so that might have added to the delay. My original notice said 180 days I think, so I probably will have to wait until March to make an inquiry.

Just wanted to share with everyone that I recently returned from my citizenship interview in SF. It was pretty straight-forward, and my application was "recommended for approval".

Nothing out of the ordinary - came in 10 mins before the scheduled interview. Waited for approx 20 mins, and the interview itself lasted for ~30 mins.

It's been mentioned in this forum too, but the officer was very detailed and reviewed my N400 line-by-line. From time to time he also made notations on the form. There were some questions I didn't expect - such as whether I'm renting or buying, who lives at my place, whether my wife came w/ me in the past 4 international trips I listed on the form, whether I've ever had any traffic ticket, whether my wife or myself have ever had any children outside marriage anywhere in the world, where's my wife right now, among others. He also asked for a joint bank statement and car insurance, which I fortunately had with me. In addition, he also took a very careful look at my joint tax statement.

Here are the questions asked (not in this order):

1. US flag color

2. Father of the country

3. How many members there are in supreme court

4. Who's the commander in chief of US military

5. How many branches there are in the US govt

6. Who elect congress

7. Requirements to be a president

8. Most important right to US citizen

I hope the oath letter will come soon, and good luck to everyone. Feel free to write me if you have any questions I could help you with.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Just read the questions. I guess those were the old ones. To be honest, it seems to me, like you have to memorize less for the new test...
