It's happen to me 1 1/2 months yehoooooo!!! sent out through VSC on sempter 28 I just got interview letter for november 18 yesterday

Congratulations! Will you be past your third anniversary of your residency by then or will you have to wait to take the oath?

i'm not really sure how its gonna work because my third anniversary gonna b this december 13 ?? and my interview date this november 18

anyone know about this situation?

Once your approved at the interview the oath letter most likely will be sent not until you are closer to the 3 year anniversary mark but it will not be a problem that your interview was prior to it.

Bump!

I was just thinking how quiet our thread has been.

Several people where I work, who applied at the end of August, have received their interview letters. One has their interview tomorrow and another two are on December 1st. These are at the Louisville, KY DO. Unfortunately I live over the border in Indiana so have to wait on Indianapolis instead.

No news anyone?

Nothing here yet. I am hoping my interview won't be scheduled for end of December - beginning of January when I'm going home for a visit.

I am watching a couple of people who will be having interviews in my local office before me and based on their timeline I don't think I'll have my interview before January.

We applied in beginning of september. Interview is beginning of December.

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

Hi everyone,

I just got my interview letter (see below for timeline). The interview is on 12/11 - perfect timing since I'm just returning from a biz trip on 12/10, and I'm travelling overseas on 12/13!

To be frank, it caught me by surprise that my interview is this soon - all my paperwork that has to do with INS/USCIS (i.e. H1, GC, GC extension, etc) have taken a lot longer than the average. By the way my 3-yr anniversary is on 12/16.

Now I'm just hoping that the oath isn't until early Jan when i return from my trip.

I just got my interview letter in the mail. The interview is scheduled on December 11. This is definitely a surprise, a good one!

The notice is titled "Request for Applicant to Appear for Naturalization Initial Interview". I am a little concerned about the word "INITIAL". Does it mean there will be more interviews than just the "INITIAL" one? Is this standard wording?
