I just completed my fingerprinting. I like the new Durham office - it's neat and everyone is polite. There were just a handful of people there and it took less than 15 minutes.

I am so glad this office is so close to my work. I used to have to drive 3 hours to Charlotte. This time at least I don't have to take any time off.

Now the wait for that interview letter begins...........................

Well, went in this morning to do my second set of fingerprints. The technicians tried their hardest but they couldn't guarantee that the FBI would accept them as some of the minutiae were poor. They did say that they had seen much worse ones get through.

Apparently if these are not acceptable I do not have to get a third set done, but instead will have to provide police reports covering the last 3 years places of residence. That shouldn't be too difficult - I just hope it doesn't cause a delay in processing.

This VSC DC is taking so long ...

Took 23 days for NOA and still waiting for FP notice after one month .. is this normal .. i applied on Sept 22.

Update on the fingerprint issue.....

I called the FBI customer service (304-625-5590) line and they very helpfully told me that my prints were readable and the results had been returned to USCIS yesterday. They couldn't actually tell me the results, but since I have a clean conscience and a clean record I am not unduly worried! I was really only concerned as to whether the prints would be acceptable or not.

Now if only USCIS could be as fast and as helpful as the FBI!

Neel, you might want to check out the timelines of others here who submitted their applications to VSC. It looks like 2-3 weeks is quite normal for the NOA. As far as the FP, that might depend on your local service center.

Same with me. The only update was before the NOA1. so i'm waiting too..

The online status doesn't update at all. My last update date is still the date showing on my NOA and I just got the interview letter today.

Is your DO charlotte Amalie, VI or charlotte NC? If it Charlotte, NC and you got your interview alreayd then WOW good for you man.

Congratulations! Will you be past your third anniversary of your residency by then or will you have to wait to take the oath?
