Here we go again, been 48 hours since we paid for overnight delivery and the DOS hasn't cashed our check yet. Previously has been 24 hours with the electronic transfer. Ha, with the DOS and USCIS, always have been super quick in cashing that check, but then let you wait either months or years to process it.

..precisely. Which is my point. That upon receiving an application, they are meant to cash it within 24-48 hours, and if its with a cheque, they attempt twice to see if it clears....

Why so much emphasis on cashing your check anyway? If they cash your check today and then let your app sit for six months, rather than cash it in a month and let it sit for only one month, how does that help you?

I'm going on day 14. I strongly suspect it had something to do with labor day weekend. People taking the Friday before off in addition to the Monday holiday. Then they have a build up of applications to get out. Hopefully we'll both hear by the end of this week. Grab your beverage of choice and try to relax and get your mind on other things.
