Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Even if this creates a "mini" black hold the event horizon for it would be on the scale of nanometers. No chance it would swallow the earth.

Oh My God. I've actually got to say it.

THIS.

He's right; any black hole created would be so infinitesimally small that it could not affect the Earth. Here's an analogy: light a match; the flame is 5,000 degrees, but it doesn't set the room on fire.

That IS a good analogy.

As long as it doesn't have the ability to obtain more material to 'burn' - as a black hole is theorized to have. Just playing devil's advocate for a sec. Black holes need matter to grow.

Even though scientists have put the chances at extremely low of there being a catastrophe (not just a micro black hole that continuously grows and, wham, swallows the Earth, but strangelet that cannot be predicted even though overestimating the disaster to create a distinct probability formula to convince, statistically, the improbability, I'm more than aware of how easy it is to conjure up probability statistics), even there being a chance is more than enough for me to be a wuss and want to scrap the whole thing. I understand the will to discover the Higgs boson, I'd just like other ways to be explored that doesn't require putting our entire species at risk for the sake of a formula, which is of no use to us if we're all dead.

But since I know it can't be stopped, just hoping for the best.

Death by black hole would be swift and presumably if painful, only for a nano second. I actually hope they do manage to create a black hole, that would be incredibly cool. Is it remotely possible that they might?

Well, the theory goes that the closer you get to the event horizon the slower time goes. So in effect when you reach the horizon time would stop. It might not be very nice.

But what would explain time going backwards, as in the latest K-1 processing timeline from USCIS?
