We have originally filed for a K3 visa. Both I130 and I129F were approved at the same time.

For the K3 visa, I have a piece of paper from NVC with the K3 case number, basically a notice that case was sent forward to Moscow embassy.

For the CR1 visa, we got a diff case number, and we've already sent everything but DS-230 in.

I just checked the embassy website and we already have the interview date set for late October, under the K3 case number. Assuming that everything goes smoothly with CR1 papers, what is it that I need to do in order to have the K3 interview changed to CR1 interview on the same date? I read that this is a common practice.

Do we have to fill out any paperwork that's sent to us by embassy itself, for the K3 visa?

Thanks,

Andrei

The interviews are the same, the difference is the end visa. The medical is different because the visa applicant needs to have fulfilled the vaccination requirement. The consulate cannot issue a CR-1 visa until the file is in there possesion. If it is in Moscow at interview time they will be able to issue the CR visa.

YMMV
