I got a letter from Oz. He should be home pretty soon, but he gives no dates. I went to Camp Pendletons' website and they list homecomings, the last being 16SEP. So, he should be back in the states before that. He stated in my letter that he would like to stay even longer. That they have done good work over there and that the people are very grateful. I don't know if this was a letter dictated by a commanding officer or what. ???? Anyway, it was nice to get a letter.

No, I am sure they wouldn't do that. Maybe he really is doing good things. Not everything going on in Iraq is bad.

I'm glad you heard from him and I hope he gets home soon.

I hope I hear from him soon too! I don't know how much time he needs after getting back but I hope I get a call when he's back in the states so I know he's made it home safely!

After this he is done with his military service of eight years for the marines and he is supposed to be honorably discharged.

No. It doesn't sound like something he would say. You have to know my brother. He is not one to write letter or say much on the telephone.

thats great news. i bet u r relieved he is coming home.

Yes. I have prayed for him everyday and his safe return.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It's Nov now. Oz is still in the military but he's back from Iraq. Mom saw him three weeks ago in Vegas before flying to Denmark and then Italy for three weeks. He has some military buddies he served over in Iraq with whose families were in Vegas. When he saw Mom he wore a black suit that he had made for himself when he was stationed in Japan. She said he picked her up in a nice SUV and drove her around checked her into the hotel and went to fancy restaurant with her! Then the base had some kind of fire back in San Diego so he had to leave before she did to get back to base and take care of things.

Mom said in Vegas she got a UPS Race Car jacket for him that he really looks good in and wanted. He was making fun of her at first for going into that store, but she needed to rest her feet. Then she bought him the jacket he was looking at because she talked the man down from $250 to $150 and said here is your present for serving your country. He was really happy and it looks really good on him! :D

Very glad your brother is happy.

what reason is that - so your mom does not buy you a jacket?
