www.hotelfrendy.com

it was cheap, close to mall and embassy and St. Lukes and when everyone saw where we were staying, they wanted ot stay there also. It is far better and cheaper than Cherry blossoms and a bunch of others that are in that area.

I wouldnt stay at a "cheap" hotel in the Philippines.. you will get what you pay for (and I just dont trust them with my belongs..dont want something stolen) Id recommend Bayviewpark hotel, which is across from US Embassy in Manila.. I believe their rates are decent for Americans, and rates start at $60 per night... website is www.bayviewparkhotel.com

I'd recommend Bayview Park, we stayed there the last time we were in Manila. You can have a nice room overlooking Manila Bay and the American Embassy for $56 and that includes hot breakfast. It's a lot cheaper and a thousand times better than your normal Motel 6. Book it through Asiarooms.com.:thumbs::thumbs:

Wife and daughter stayed at The Lotus Garden near St. Lukes for the medical and Bayview Park for the interview. Similiar price. They liked The Lotus Garden better as there is a Jollibee and MacDonalds just across the street. Said it was cleaner than Bayview. Lots of Expats stay at Lotus Garden also.

I would also recomment Bayview Park hotel. It is right in front of the US Embassy in Manila and a approximately 10 to 15 minutes or less to the USEC by cab. Access to a cab is easy, in case you are not renting. There are waiting cabs outside the Bayview Park hotel, i think near the Yellow Cab restaurant, just a few steps to the right from the hotel.

Bayview is a 4-star hotel and would likely be comparable to the Extended Stay hotels in the US. Well, good luck. I thought it would be even more cheaper if you have a friend here who could book you for corporate rate.

Hi,

My fiancee will be taking her medical exam next week and interview a couple of weeks later. Can someone recommend a clean, safe, and cheap hotel there?

Thanks,

Dan♥Analyn

I stayed at Best Westerm Hotel la Corona Hotel. Check their price; you might be interested there.

Try Bayview Park, very close to the American Embassy (across the boulevard), Rizal Park and SLEC. We stayed there last June and we had a nice room overlooking Manila Bay and a hot breakfast buffet. There's also a mini Internet cafe by the lobby. I have also stayed at Best Western La Corona but had a very agonizing experience because on my checkout day, the elevators were not working. I had to drag my luggage down the stairs! :(:ranting::ranting::ranting:
