Dinner at a mutual friend's house, here in the US.

Brad, I remember you mentioned at one time that you & your fiance know several single women (Russian/Ukraine). I'm in no rush, but if you get around to it, me a few photos.... you have my email.

Vika has a good friend, who does express interest in such things. I have never met her, and Vika has no pictures. Vika says she is "very beautiful". I know she works all the time, and seldom meets the girls any more for beer and salty fish. Any way, to be continued offline...

I met my wife through mutual friends... If you know my posts, you know that it did not work out.

Just curious where you all met.

Thank you!

I had gone to Odessa to visit friends I met while working there previously. On my way back I had a layover in Prague. Alla was on the same plane as she was going to Prague for a furniture exhibition (she was a furniture salesperson) and when I got to the bus ticket window in the lobby to buy my ticket to downtown she was there in front of me. She was having difficulty understanding how to get to the hotel but I recognized the man was trying to tell her how to get to the same hotel I was staying at. I bought TWO tickets (big sender I am, it was about $3 total) and took her bag and said "follow me" I took her right to her hotel room door and carried her bag all the way. She offered to buy me coffee by way of saying "thanks". So we went to a cafe for coffee, then walked around the city, then I took her to dinner, we walked around some more, and we ended up in the hotel lobby at 2am. I had to leave for the airport at 6am and was afraid I would never wake up so she sat in the lobby and we talked until it was time for me to leave. She walked me to the subway and when I got home I had 3 emails from her! It went from there. I have visited her 5 times in the last year and now, exactly one year from when I took the flight to Odessa she will be taking a flight to me! Who would have guessed when I left last year, a beautiful and wonderful woman would be making the trip to me one year later!

I vaguely knew him through the internet, as we are both part if the same hobby organisation, but we met and became friends at a conference in Oklahoma. A couple of months later, he "asked me out" online and we went from there :)

I saw him one day as I was leaving work and was mesmerized. I did not see him for 2 months. Then one day I got to work and he was there. I quickly found a way to work with him that day and he proposed 6 days later.

We sometime tell our friends and family that I stalked him for 2 months and he had no choice but to give in :)

We've been happily married for almost 4 years now.

We met at the first birthday party of our mutual friends' son. I know someone else who met her husband (both American) at a 1-year-old's birthday party. It's the great untapped market for single people in their 30s!

We met, when I went to Ukraine on a "Romance Tour". She was the very last date I had on my first trip. I went to dinner with her, her girlfriend and my interpreter. I felt pretty good being out with three women, all that spoke some English. Unfortunately, at that time, both of us were involved with other people, so we just went different directions.

Then, 1 1/2 years later, she sent me a letter wishing me Happy Thanksgiving. It turned out that the relationships we both had been working on went bad. She asked if I remembered her. When I wrote back that I believe she was the one I went to dinner with her girlfriend and we practiced speaking English, she was happy I remembered.

I wrote asking her is she felt her English was good enough for me to call her. She replied to the affirmative and we made plans for my phonecall.

Well, I called her on a Saturday morning her time, it was after 10:00 PM for me. We talked for two hours. Just hearing her voice and finding how easy it was to talk to her hooked me. I wrote to her that her voice was intoxicating and indeed I felt drunk from the conversation. After that, I called almost every week and we made plans to meet in May.

I fell hopelessly in love with Lena and she did for me also. It was so incredible and satisfying for both of us. Now you know why my label is 1HappyGuy.
